Blender Pen Help

I am preparing for my first workshop (in someone else's home) and getting my stuff together only to realize my pack of brand new blender pens that I just opened are dried out and do not work??????

AM I missing something? Should I be doing something to them so they are moist?? The tips are dry....

I just got them a few weeks ago in my order...

can any help me or give me an alternate idea? I of course do not own an aqua painter

Mine were never wet, so I'm not sure they're supposed to be. Here's info about refreshing them though:

They are obviously defective and Stampin' Up! will replace them. Just call Demo services and they will send you a replacement, although I'm not sure if they will ask you to return the defective ones. That doesn't really help you if you were counting on using them for a demonstration though.

I have not tried this recipe, but my understanding is there is a way to remove the tip and refill the reservoir. You'll have to find out from SU! first whether they will require you to send back the defects before trying this however.

I agree, call demo support right away. The tips should be damp/moist but not wet.

I tried refilling one set of my blender pens and it worked ok but the tips were so bad that I decided to just buy another set of pens. Generic tips at Michaels did not fit our pens.

The same thing happened to me when I first openned my blender pens. :shock: My mistake was not paying attention to how I had stored them. You want to keep the pens horizontal. If you store them vertically they don't work. (I realized this when I was staring at my set of SU markers and... ) So then I put the pack of pens horizontally and wouldn't you know they worked. Can't remember exactly how long I let them sit but it worked. I don't know if you'll get this before your workshop but maybe it will save you the trouble of having to call in to SU. HTH

For a quick (temporary) fix, you can dip the end in water or put some water in the channel after you've removed the tip - This will work until you can make (or buy) refill fluid. I agree with storing the pens on their sides, just as you should any double-ended markers.
