Target Dollar Spot will soon be gone!

I was in Target today and was told that they are getting rid of the dollar spot. They have started marking everything 50% off. What a disappointment that they won't have it anymore!

Are they totally going or are they just changing the items available for $1? Our stores (2 in my area) have changed items several times now, and one of the things they do in between batches is clearance the old to make room for the new stuff. I hope it's just a regular clearance, if they are totally getting rid of that I'll be very disappointed.

I agree with Stacy36, our Targets here have gone through several change outs in the $ section. They clearance out to 50% off first and then to 75% off and put in the new stuff. Most stuff is gone by the 75% off, but sometimes you can catch a deal for only a quarter! I would bet that they are getting ready to put some spring type items there for Easter. Boy do I love Target!

I was told by a clerk that they were getting rid of the whole dollar spot. That was why they were marking things down. I wish she was wrong!

They are putting in new Easter stuff in my Target's dollar spot today, lots of cute pastel tin pails with a little ribbon on them! I do agree that they are just clearancing out the old and in with the new!

Spammie, I used some of your great cardstock with my daughter's 5th grade class yesterday for making Valentine's, it worked great! (of course, I didn't use the confetti cardstock, though!) I am sorry I am so tardy in using it, I just have to get off of here and start stamping again! LOL! :lol: :lol:

I was in our Target store today and they were filling it with Easter and spring items....stuffed to the brim in the baskets in fact. They said they were not getting rid of the $ spot, it makes too much money and they are working towards making more to get people to shop there instead of one of our 3 dollar stores. It's huge competition in our little town for the almight buck!

I work for Target and promise you that it's not going any where soon. It is one of the most popular areas in the store.
About every 6 weeks they rotate the stuff to bring in new stuff. Have no fear
