I just went to Target and they are packing up the $1 Spot! I asked if they were moving it and the guy said that the $1 Spot is going - at all Targets!! Has anyone else heard this??
My Target was putting some new wonderful stuff out today! Sorry to hear about yours. They also have some things now at 2@$5. I bought a hanging rack for the back of my craft room door. I also found some neat round containers for holding brads and buttons at $1.

This is how it is at "my" store too. They actually have quite a bit of teacher/back to school items that I got for $1. Then I got a light blue piggy bank (for my sister's baby shower this weekend) from the 2/$5. I am in Knoxville, TN
I'm sorry to alarm everyone but I just called the store and it looks like the guy who was taking all of the stuff down didn't know what he was talking about even though he seemed so sure. The operator checked and said that they may be just moving it. phew!! I hope the operator is the one in the know. (I will still be worried until I see it set up again.)
Life without Target $1 spot, that would be awful. Sounds like the guy did know anything. But from other posters sounds like they are reinventing it by adding the 2/$5. I know this weekend my $1 spot had all the summer stuff on clearence 4/$1, my son (5) was disappointed, I told him we would be back and it would be full of all sorts of new things.
Boy, I'm glad somebody checked on the $ spot! What would be do without it!!! Really, check out all the new back to school stuff---really got some great things there!
I am friends with a guy who used to manage a Target and he told me they make a profit even when the stuff gets marked down to .50. He said it is a very successful area of their store. I bet they will not be getting rid of it soon.
Target is not getting rid of the dollar spot. It's just not going to be called the dollar spot anymore since they are adding the 2 for 5 stuff.
I work at Target but forget what they are renaming it to.
This Target is outside of Philadelphia (Plymouth Meeting for all of the Delaware Valley girls.)
Hey, I was there this morning too! Someone posted that the one in N. Wales had the new stuff out already. I think I'll stop by tomorrow on my way to the swim club to see what's new and fab.

Man, I love the $$ spot! We walk in and the kids can usually pick something out and it keeps them happy. Then, I get to avoid the toy aise! Plus, I always find something there I want.
