LSC72 - Image Border Stamps
When I first started stamping, I thought I would only use my stamps for scrapbooking. I bought border stamps and alphas mostly. Well, now I make cards and I don't touch my "border" stamps. I don't think I find them difficult to use, but I don't use them very often. Border stamps also come in a few SU! sets. And then there are the new border Katie & Co. $1 stamps from Michael's! (I just bought a couple, yesterday :-D I need to use them!)
This week, you are limited to IMAGE BORDER stamps. (Sorry... This doesn't include stitching stamps, All in a Row, or Trimtastic.) You may include an additional image, BGs, and a sentiment. If you don't have image border stamps, you may use a standard wheel, but only one swipe like a border. ;)
I have posted a list of examples from the current SU! catty if you need help with border stamps. It's in post #70 on page 2.
Please put LSC72 in the keyword box when uploading!
Limit: IMAGE border stamps should be obvious (not covered up by a mat and used just as a BG)
Stamps: image borders (OPTIONAL: BGs, one image, sentiment)
cardstock and ink: any
embellishments: any
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
If you need help with uploading your card to the gallery or posting a link, click here!

Hmmm... cool challenge Jen. Not sure I have any border stamps and I don't have any wheels yet but I'll put my thinking cap on. Thanks again for sparking our creativity!

I have the tendency to overlook the border stamps in stamp sets. I will have to review my stamp sets and see what I can do. Thanks for the challenge!

ematson's cards are wonderful...the little flip-flop is just one pair that was stamped in a row....does this mean we can do that if we don't have a border stamp??
woops....I looked at that wrong, I have the one that is one pair and thought this was it...please ignore me!

Hummmm, well, this will definitely be another difficult challenge for me, but I'm willing to give it a try...I'm off to my stampin' room to see what I can do until my new products arrive tomorrow! Thanks for the challenge Jen.

Actually, it's a border stamp of 3 flip-flops. But you can make a border with a single stamp if you'd like!

Jen, I'm so honored that you used my cards as samples! We're leaving town tomorrow for the weekend so I'd better get down to my craft room to see what I can come up with before we go.
Thanks for another great challenge!

I was inspired to try some of the new colors on mine. I forgot to list that I also used the rought texture wheel over the palm trees.

Cool challenge Jen! I had hoped it would be something fun!
My kit arrived today minus the handle for the wheel (the butterflies and blossoms wheel that matches Because of You). Not sure I can use it without the handle though LOL! (I think it must be in another shipment that is scheduled for tomorrow.)

This may be a challenge. Not sure I have any border stamps. But I'll come up with something. Not now, though... going to bed.

Thought I had posted to this thread but can't find it so who knows what thread I actually posted to. lol Anyway I had a hard time figuring out how to go forward with this challenge as I couldn't think of any border stamps that I had. (In the gallery I now see a card using the Balmy Breezes palm trees. I have that and there are probably more.) But anyway, Jen said we could use a single stamp and simulate a border stamp so that is what I did. Here is my card for this challenge. Hope it qualifies:

A busy day ahead, but I will certainly get to the challenge at some point. Thanks for this challenge....I have LOTS of border stamps I never use. Won't have a problem finding a stamp, only the inspiration and time to do it. Thanks fot the idea, Jen.

Hmmm... I don't know that I have any border stamps. I just sold Border Builders, so that option is out. I'll have to think about it. Heading for the shower and hoping for a little time to play before leaving for work!

Great challenge Jen. I have lots of border stamps and wheels. I hope I can play today. I have to go to a viewing and the service for the lady that I made that sympathy card for yesterday. Won't be home until late this afternoon and I also have a huge SU order coming in today. You know I am going to want to play with those new stamps and supplies. Hope to squeeze some time in for this challenge.

Got this idea from a scrapbook page my demo shared at a workshop, I knew it would make a great card. The colors in the scan are a little darker than IRL, my scanner always does that when I use dimensionals.
Have a Great Day Border Card
I lost the original link so I'm hoping this one stays in place.

Thanks Jen for using my card as a sample, I'm honored! I've been so busy with a swap and getting ready for stamp camp, I haven't found much extra time for challenges this week, but I will certainly try!
