Hi Jen & Corina -- I just congratulated you both on another thread, but I'll do it again -- CONGRATS TO BOTH OF YOU!!! As I said in the other thread, I can share in your elation and I, too, got my SU demo number yesterday, and YES, it does feel good to be official!!! I can't wait to get going -- I have an open house planned for the end of the month, anxiously awaiting the arrival of my demo kit and supplies. Best Wishes to Both of You, Jen and Corina!!!

Congratulations to all of you new demos! I am sending in my Stampin' Up! paperwork tomorrow morning and I am SOO excited! I have been waiting for this for months!
How long did it take you all to get your numbers after you mailed your paperwork? Then how long does it take from there to get your starter kits? Do you think I would be safe in scheduling a party for August 5 if I am sending in my paperwork tomorrow?

They received my paperwork on Monday. Wednesday a.m. I called the SU demo line, and I still hadn't been entered in the system. Then around dinner time that same day, my demo password came through my email. I was in Panera bread and squealed out a big "YES!". I've been checking the status of my demo kit online and it just went to picking tonight. Hope this helps!

I JUST got an email saying my demo kit shipped! Yeah! When I looked it up, it said 'partial' but when I looked at the details, it said that all of it was shipped. So, I'm not sure what's up. The tracking number from ups doesn't work yet; I wonder how long it will be? Probably no pick up tomorrow (Saturday) so I bet it doesn't physically leave SU til Monday. OH, the anticipation..

An employee of su --I can't remember her name. She was telling me about a program that encourages large sales for new demos....I think it is more than I will be able to produce. She asked if I had questions etc.
I just got an email shipment confirmation email on my kit. I'm going to email my upline girlie to see if she has any time next week to help me place my 30% off order. I want her to check my decision-making since I plan to have a couple of parties and want to have a variety rather than just what I like-KWIM?

Yay! What sets did you choose for your starter kit? I chose:
Mixed Bouquet
It's Your Birthday
All in a Row
Wishing You the Best
Quick Thinking
You're Neat
Twinkle wheel
Typeset Alpha lower (for stampin' memories)
Oh, and another question...do you have to send the Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator Agreement along with your Starter Kit Order Form and Independent Demonstrator Application? Did you just send those two pieces of paper in the mail?

I just sent in the two sheets. One was the one my demo had to sign and the other was my order choices for the demo kit.

Hah! We were posting at the same time! See my post above for what I chose. Those are some great sets you chose! Have you been stamping long? I have been enjoying Stampin' Up! stamps for about 4 years now, but I REALLY started to get into it about a year ago. My upline tells me I was a hard sell, because she signed up to be a demonstrator after her first party LOL! We have similar taste in stamps, I see. I am getting Unfrogettable and lily pad wheel as well warm words with my first order (the one that's 30% off). I have Burst into Bloom already, and I am getting Wishing you the Best with my Starter Kit!
So, yeah, we have similar taste! ;)

I just wanted to add...Unfrogettable/Lilly Pad wheel and Warm words are just two of the sets I am getting with my 30% off order...I have many more on my list, but I mentioned those two since they were the same as what you were getting!

It took me 8 hours to decide what I was going to order. It was terrible! Funny how our tastes are the same, though! I'm excited to get Unfrogettable because I wanted it in the mini and just couldn't fit it in the budget. And I got the Heartfelt Thanks because of all of the great sets made by shutterbug2124 (Rochelle) like this one:
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I've been stamping about 8 years and don't know why I waited so long to be a demo! I'm off to bed....my 3 year old gets up at 6:30! I'll keep you updated on my delivery!

I have no "kid" sets, but I love Unfrogettable, Wild About You, and You're Neat...by the end of August, I will have 3 "kid" sets! Woo hoo!
Definitely keep us updated on your delivery...it's so exciting!

OK... since you're all sharing... this is what I ordered in my kit....
Unfrogettable
Lily Pad wheel
On the Move
You're Neat
Beyond the Basics
Much Appreciated
In My Thoughts
I've been stamping for almost 3 years, but only obsessively for a little over a year (when I joined SCS) :-D . I plan on holding a kick-off party for my first 30% off order.
My starter kit isn't even in picking, yet. :( So, I'm still waiting to set the date of my party.

My starter kit shipped on Friday 7/07. I'm so excited to get it too!!! I had many of the sets listed in the recommendations, so I ordered:
Simply Said
God's Blessings
Espressoly for You
Burst into Bloom
Much Appreciated
Wishing you the Best
Leaf Prints Wheel
I've been stamping for 5/6 years, quite regularly, but a bit more obsessively these last 2 months since I've been coming to SCS -- it is SOOOO INSPIRING!!!!
I am planning a kick-off open house for July 26 for my 30% order, hoping to get a nice big one!!!
Best wishes to all of you with your kick-off plans!
