In my heart, I'm still in Georgia!
Hi-I was born in Atlanta and moved to Newnan when I was 6. We moved from Newnan when I was almost 19. We moved to NC and I have been here ever since. I'm in SC now but the NC line is less than 5 miles from
my house. Every time I see a car tag from Georgia, I look to see what county it is from. I love Georgia and consider myself, always and forever, a Georgia Peach! What a great state!
Good morning. In no means am I trying to hijack this thread but have any of you visited the Cabbage Patch Kids Babyland General Hospital? We will be flying into Atlanta March 15 and want to stop at it but is it worth the drive? We will be staying in Fitzgerald for a week and our only other plsn is a trip to Valdosta to the amusement park. Can you lovely ladies suggest any other destinations? My girls are 7 and 6(on 3/17) and my son is 3. Thanks for any tips!
~Amy
Your kids will LOVE it! It's worth it imo. The staff all wear hospital scrubs and the place is decorated like a hospital. They can even witness the dolls coming out of the patch. You can go online here http://www.cabbagepatchkids.com/ to get all the info.
I am in Cumming, but we are right on the line so ALpharetta is right next door literally! WE moved here 31/2 yrs ago from NJ (outside of Philly). I am still getting used to it.
I met Brandon and Alex's mom IRL! SO fun!
I am not going to go to regionals this year, but I wish I could meet up with everyone at the meet up on Friday. maybe we'll see.
I work in Alpharetta and am off of exit 17 1/2 (you know, the first traffic light on 400)... I would LOVE to get together and stamp... though I'm not a demo. I do know a great demo in Alpharetta though.... she's always having stamp camps and stuff....
As for your trip to GA, good question. I haven't been to Babyland General yet.... definately want to take my daughter this year though... Lake Lanier is nice to visit.... Stone Mountain too... Then there's Helen - nice little 'german' town.
I'm moving to Valdosta in about a month! DH is doing Navy flight training with the Air Force there! ;) Unfortunately, I have no concept of where everything is in GA yet(except Atlanta, really), so I don't know who I'll be close to or not! Hee hee.
What are regionals? Am I missing out on something??
I would love to get together with you ladies... I think it would be SO much fun.... I have a good friend down here who is a demo. Maybe I can set up a stamp camp with her & you all can come on over... Think about it & let me know.
I recently moved to GA from northern NJ. I lived in NJ all of my life (32 years). My job moved me down here and I can honestly say that I do NOT regret the move. I'm loving Georgia so much... So much so, that my middle sister moved down too!!!!
Thanks for the Cabbage Patch Kid link. I definately want to check that place out!!!!!
Regionals are conventions for SU demos. They are smaller and local compared to the big convention in July.
I would love to get together as well. I am always looking for stamping buddies. Renee (Furph's wife) and I get together every now and then and bounce ideas off of each other (I miss you Renee, we have to get together soon!)
I'm kinda in the middle of GA (Barnesville), but my brother & my upline are out 85 (Lawrenceville and Dacula, respectively). Welcome to an awesome state

Oh my goodness I grew up in NJ and lived there 31 yrs then we moved here. WE have been here 4 yrs this July. You wrote that you were off of the first light past exit 17, WE have friends that live up that way in Lake Forest. How long have you been here? Big difference isn't it?
Brandon and ALex's mom, I have to find your # again. We got a new phone cause the ld one was going then I programmed all the numbers into the new one, but we had problems with that and dh took it off and sent it back without letting me know. I so have to write phone numbers down when I get them.
hi,
I'm in Kathleen Ga, just south of Macon and near the Warner Robins AF base. On my street alone, we have 6 SU! demonstrators. 3 generations on one road, about every other house! we are all going to ATL for regionals.
I am not in GA - but right next door in Northern Alabama. I do have a sister in law in Alpharetta - would love to have some stampn buddies when i visit her....
Don't fret row4d...I am from SAVANNAH!!! The truely "Deep" south. By the beach! I currently live in Kentucky and love it here, but I will always be from Georgia!! I always look at the tags too to see what county they are from. My family is still down in Savannah so I get back there a couple times every year. My sister is having a baby in April or May so I'll be back there then! She told me to bring my stamps and we'll make her baby announcements!
