LSC71 - Starting with Ribbon
Has this ever happened to you? You make a card that just doesn't seem finished... It needs ribbon. But you don't have any ribbon that matches? Ugh! I think, "I don't have enough ribbon!" NOT!!! I have a TON of ribbon... patterned ribbon that I never use. Ribbon that I got on clearance. Ribbon that I just HAD TO HAVE! And I don't use it! Not because I hoard it, but because it's hard to fit with just any card style.
The solution? Start with the ribbon!
Please put LSC71 in the keyword box when uploading!
Limit: Hard to use ribbon; preferrably patterned ribbon
Stamps: any
cardstock and ink: any
embellishments: any additional embellishments are optional
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

How cool is this challenge! I JUST got back from Michael's where I bought several *on sale* ribbons that I, too, just *had to have*. I think all of them are patterned. Now to choose which one to use first! lol THANKS, JEN!!!

Hmmmm... I have some of the new SU patterned ribbon coming tomorrow! Can I use that, even if it's not neglected? I haven't bought any non-SU ribbon since I became a demo two years ago. I do have some WalMart in my stash from pre-SU days, but it's not patterned or interesting. I should just get rid of it actually. Maybe give it to a young stamper who would appreciate it - my best customer (buying-wise) is now buying supplies for her 9yo niece who is a real stamper already! Maybe this little girl would like it! Anyway, I'll try to post something tomorrow with the new ribbon - I refuse to hoard it! <g>

Here's my challenge card. First one in 2 1/2 weeks! Loved vacation but I'm glad to be home w/ my stamps. This ribbon came from a box of Godiva chocolates we received. I used too much of it on a gift (dumb!) and now have just a few scraps left. Wish it was a little narrower and that I had rolls of it.

Yeah, it finally uploaded!!! It is a flip up card that as you keep unfolding it the flower "grows". I tried to get it on one frame, but could not figure out how to do that with out making 4 cards. It flips up 4 times, but did think yall needed to see the last one to get the idea, you are some smart gals! Now off to bed to dream wonderful dreams of ribbon, lovely ribbon.

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I did picking of the ribbon first with this card just last friday. It works great that way. It's a great way to use the ribbon you keep wanting to use but never happens usually. Great idea Jen. I'll definitly do another.

Boy...it's already Friday and I haven't done a single challenge this week...Boohoo. Wonder if I can get 2 cards done a day next week...doubling up on the challenges...2 TLC on monday, 2 CC on Tuesday, etc.
