I'm in Dutchess County (about 30 minutes from Carmel / Putnam County and 40 minutes from Fishkill / Dutchess County; also fairly close to Danbury, CT)
Is anyone going to the rs show at the Dutchess County fairgrounds early September '06? I'm planning to go.

Hi Kirstin!! I'd unsubbed from this thread but noticed it this morning so I checked in. Was just at a meeting at my UL's yesterday and a bunch of us are talking about getting together when UL is at convention since most of us are not going this year.
Syracuse does have the advantage of being smack in the middle of the state. And Utica/Rome are pretty close by. Both are easy access to the Thruway and Syracuse is also easy from 81. Wasn't there past talk of a U/R area gathering that didn't happen, Kirstin?
Do we want something? What kind of something? Are people willing to pay? How much? When? Etc. I'm good at organizing these kinds of things but don't want to spend time w/o some assurance that something will happen. Talk to me, ladies.

I am from Beacon NY (Dutchess County) I have a Stamp a stack this Thursday evening if anyone is interested. It is ALWAYS a great time. Please let me know of any other events... Tina I think we might be on another group together.. you were going to come to my Scrapbooking event last month but you couldn't make it.. maybe you can come this month.

I live in Utica, about an hour east of Syracuse....I know of several other ladies who I am sure would like to get together and do something........mapquest says we are 2 hours and 55 minutes apart.
Maybe a Syracuse meeting would be good for everyone since it is in the center of the state.
I don't know what does everyone think???? Linda? do you have any suggestions, cindy, how about you?
Here are driving times from some of the bigger towns to Syracuse
Albany-2 hours 23 minutes
Buffalo-2 hours 28 minutes
Rochester-1 hour 29 minutes
Binghamton-1 hour 14 minutes
Utica-58 minutes
Watertown-1 hour 10 minutes
Scranton, PA-2 hours 9 minutes
those are just a few of the towns, and 1 from PA, thats not too far either.

just to throw this out there...my dad is a pastor of a church in Dolgeville about an hour from Albany.....he said for a small donation we might be able to use their church gym for a gathering. but we can go anywhere.
I am getting excited.....I would love to have a gathering!!!!
