ISO color matching help besides the Color Coach
Does anyone have information they'd like to share on how you match colors. I have the info given to the demos from Regionals and I do have the color coach but there has to be more out there.
Anyone anyone?????

I've compiled this excel spreadsheet list of color combos, a lot of which came straight out of our Inspiration Sheets I've separated them by the 4 different color families, click on the folder tabs on the spreadsheet.
Have fun with new colors!

Colorbook
I, too, wanted a more complete list of matching colors. Last year I created a color matching tool for the 48 colors--you stamp the ink colors in the designated spots (I have all four stampin spots sets, so it was easy for me), then cut apart the pages where indicated. You end up with a book of pages that you can flip and see up to three colors side by side. At the end of the book is a few pages that show color combinations that correspond to the different color matching schemes, such as monochromatic, complementary, etc.
After I designed this I noticed that there are similar books available, made from card stock. I believe I saw some being sold on Ebay. You might check that out if you want something already completed.
I'm uploading my Colorbook with this message. Anyone is welcome to use it, but please do not make them and sell them for profit.

Someone posted this website a long time ago. I use these color combinations all the time, and I love it! I cut little squares of cardstock in the palettes they created, and put them in a binder to use as a reference.

You will need Microsoft Excel to open & view the spreadsheet. If you don't have Excel, you can download a free viewer from Microsoft (allows you to open & view Excel spreadsheets but not create or change them:

I'm with Spammie... My Mom actually created my cardstock ring for me. I love it and don't know how I got by without it before! It's a great little tool - you just have to have all the colors of SU cardstock to create it but you can buy the sample packs to get by until your stock is complete.

If you are looking for general color combination ideas - I found this web site to be a big help. It gives you ideas for monochromatic, dichromatic, etc.

It's not SU colors but it gives a great jumping off place.

Another good idea is to look at catalogs and pick colors you like and match them up to SU colors. I see a lot of bedroom sets that have great color combos that kind of stick in your mind.

Britta, great info you shared. I have taken color ideas from catalogs and shelter magazines many times. They usually are showing the current color trends. Just curious what is "snark"?

I've also gotten great color combo's from my daughters sweaters...little kids clothes are always so vibrant and full of color
I'm happy to share the excel spreadsheet chart with all- and now I might get working on a color sample chart of some sort, using my scraps

Wow! I love the excel chart and the ColorBook! I've seen a different version of the color book with 1/4 sheets of CS bound together and cut in thirds to do a flip book with the colored CS. I like this idea, too, with the ink full, 1-off and 2-off colors!
