07.10.06 okay, i have been out of town quite a bit.. and leslie has done a PHENOMENALjob keeping everything updated.. and then kellestamps has been working a lot on getting the new sets updated!! but, between the two threads, there seems to have been some confusion! so, it has been decided that they will post a new thread, merging BOTH spreadsheets, to hopefully cease the confusion!
thanks so much!! it was really fun working with you ladies.. and please be sure to thank kelle and leslie for ALL the hard work they have done keeping it all as straight as they can!! thank you!

I just updated Leslies latest list
07.07.06
okay, so someone proposed to daven that we put an index card in the galleries. this index card would contain every image from a stamp set, stamped onto a "card", making it easier to find out what stamp is in each set.
he said eventually, we could use these index cards as thumbnails for each gallery, which would be AWESOME.
but, to do this.. it would really require a LOT of people to stamp a LOT of indexes!!! //www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...53117&si=index
these are some examples!
i am attaching a spreadsheet that i will update to keep track of this job!!! hopefully you gals (and guy) can help!! especially those with the more RARE sets.
i will be highlighting the sets as they are 'taken' and 'completed'.
if you are interested in stamping an index for a card, i will highlight it in green.
once it has been completed, i will highlight it as orange.
those in white still need an index.. and right now.. there is a LOT of white!! LOL
eta: they need to be uploaded into the index gallery that daven made, and a moderator will move them accordingly and make them 'stick' in the front of the gallery! thanks!
hey ladies::
daven just posted that the keyword index is making the gallery wonky.
so, he asked that we choose another unique name!
lets do our keyword daven.. how unique is that?? surely the gallery doesnt see that often!! LOL
so, when you upload your index card, in the keyword section.. type daven! not index! LOL
Alright TC - I'm game...
I'll take:
Mon Ami
Lexicon of Love
Heart and Home
Polka Dot Posies
Simply Said
Paint Prints
Looks Like Spring
Tags and More
Watercolor Garden
BTW - Does this mean that you have taken charge in this great plan??? ;)
I will help out in any way I can just let me know.
Tracy
when you upload it.. type in the keyword 'index' so they are easily found.. and upload them into the index gallery!
tracy.. im going to add you to the list.. thanks!
jen, right now pretty much everything in the gallery is open except what tracy and mindeola have offered to do.
i did art of life and easy elegance earlier, but wont upload until tomorrow.
tracy.. if you want to help.. maybe you can be the mod that approves the indexes and moves them.. and keeps me a running list of what has been completed so i can update my excel file each nite.. what do you think?
Tasha,
I can do that. Should be no problem since I am usually hanging on the site anyway.
As far as approvals for these go, how will that work? Won't they just be approved by whoever has that shift? Or did I miss something?

Yep, but you can do the movin' . Great organizing, Tasha! Thanks to everyone for helping with this!

tracy, the person on shift will approve them to the index gallery, it will be your job to move them to the appropriate gallery, and to make them a sticky.
there is a thread in the mod forum by daven explaining how to do that.. and how to make it a thumbnail.

i have it updated to Christine (trefoil).
im so excited that you guys are on board!
Do the "CARDS" have to be fancy? Can we just stamp the images onto a card or are we playing around so we don't really break the rules? I mean, do we have to mount the images and border them or can we just do a flat card? I can help if it's not too intricate.
I'm almost done with my first one, Fishy Friends. I layered each image like in the examples. It's a great way to use scraps. I save everything! LOL! Hope I'm doing it right ;)
Oh, It's 5x5 to fit everything. I saw tall cards in the examples, so I hope that's alright, too.:-D
I've started working on Fish Frolics. It's easier to do this one as a scene like a real card. I'll just make sure everything is just stamped once.

I can do:
Avian Toile
Serenity (Toile 1pc.)
Tractor Time
Yukon
Walk this Way
Seeds of Kindness
THis is all I will do for now, I don't want to overextent and not be able to come through...
I can do:
Bareback
Basket Full of fun
Both Way Blossoms
Bud Basics
Cowboy Kid
Curvey Verses
Do the hula
Drawing on Nature
Fairy Nice
Farm Fever
Flower Filled
I will, of course, wait to upload these until tomorrow morning, but I figure I would post a link to these "cards" so that if anyone involved with organizing this monster of a project is still awake, you could let me know if this is appropriate or if I should make some changes.
I will do
*Classic Convertibles
*Netherlands
*Stippled Stencils
So, what I do is this????
...give a name like Index Classic Convertibles
...put the stamp set in keywords
...put the word index in keywords
...upload to that image's gallery
Then someone else will make that index card "sticky" so it stays always as the first thumbnail in that gallery page?
P.S. Post #5 confused me a little. It says to upload to the index gallery. Did you mean to say image gallery?
I can help, too. I'll take on a few and come back for more.
I'll start with these:
Gifts from the orient
garden collage
holiday minis
hearts and clovers
dd pinecones

What a great idea!
I'll try a couple. How about these:
Hello Spring, Happy Winter, Birthday Best, Nature's Wonders.
I'll try to get them done tomorrow night after work.
Tasha, be sure to list the ones Kellestamps (I'm assuming hers will be the sticky for those sets...she does have the word "index" in her keywords) did & this one by renaissancegeer (since Daven already moved it & stuck it...our firstborn!!) Birthday Banter by Cara Denise at Splitcoaststampers as being done.
As far as what constitutes a card, Jenn will give an official answer, but I, personally, would like to see them "pretty"....not necessarily "fancy", but not just what you would do to catalog them for yourself...know what I mean? Nice enough that you could honestly consider it a card, not just black ink on white paper. :-)

I know that this idea is still new and there is still discussion about various aspects of this project, but I went ahead and uploaded the two I made from last night. If there need to be any changes to them, just let me know and I'll redo them tonight.

What about some of the sets that have so many images that they would not make a nice card? Like Mini Mates for example?

About the card with too many images... could a person do a set of say two or three cards and have them labeled (say it's 3 cards: 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3)? I don't have upload abilities, but if I did, I'd be so helpin with this awesome project!
I will start out with the backgrounds that I have (some of my backgrounds aren't on the list!):
Antique Cracking
Background Basics
Canvas
Chickenwire
French Script
Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Little Shapes
Perfect Plaids
Petite Patterns
Print Pattern
Shape of Things
Stipple Plaid
ill put them on the list.. only do the ones that already have a gallery.
if there is a retired set, it isnt likely that a gallery will be made for just a card or two..
thanks so much..
and thanks tracy for updating the list.

i will actually take minimates.. i was thinking about it last nite going to sleep.. that one is so large.
i was thinking i could stamp the image.. then the coordinating saying on top of it.. or i will make it like a scrapbook page.. i will play with it tonite.
I just pulled out these sets. I will work on them.
Is it okay to upload from my scanner, as opposed to a digital camera?
Fun Filled
Love Ya Bunches
Paris in the Spring
Simple Sketches
One more question:
For the two step stampin (like Simple Sketches), would it be okay to stamp the coordinating images together (in contrasting colors)?
Location: in my own little world... they like me here!

Count me in too! :-) Put me down for:
Alphabits
Happy Healing
School
Groovy
I'll start with these, then sign up for more later.
Is it okay to "case" some of the other layouts?
Also, you might want to post this up in Demo Chit Chat to get more players. :-)
Have a stamp-happy day!
