Yes, there is....but I had to go thru the sale flyers 3, count 'em, 3 times
before I found Mike's. I was gettin' pretty upset, thinking there wasn't
one again this week. Really hate it when there isn't a Mike's coupon!
Whew!! Luckily, I found it!
BTW I was at Michaels this week and a customer was asking about coupons in the paper........the sales lady told her that they started doing them every other week now!
Michael's are accepting Jo-annes coupons and vice versa. Bonus!! If at least one of them are in the newspaper, I beat a path to Michael's!! They are only about a mile from my home!
All the Michael's stores that I've gone to honor competitor (SP?) coupons. I don't see why yours isn't Rachel. Time to talk to the store manager. If they won't honor it just say well I guess Joann's will be getting my business cause they honor yours( yours being Michael's coupons) Good luck!!
a friend of mine recently commented to a michael's cashier something about how they used to scan a coupon for you if you asked, saying you didn't have yours, or whatever. the woman said they stopped doing that when they started accepting as many coupons as you had during one checkout. now i've yet to see if this was true, but that was what my friend was told. somehow, i'm skeptical!

From what I've seen on this board (lots of talk about Michael's woes here!) they more than likely won't care too much. I only go there when I can't find what I need elsewhere.

Our Michaels will only accept a JoAnn coupon IF Michaels has a sales ad that week. If they have no ad/coupon, they will not accept a JoAnn coupon. I called and they told me they would honor an in-store coupon that I had gotten via email from Joanne, but when I got there the manager said no they won't honor anything from Joanne online or emailed - period. The coupon said "In store only, not for online use" but they said no. Maybe different stores all have different policies, but this manager told me it was a corporate rule.

The Michaels in my area don't honor competitors (JoAnn) coupons either. They will however price match anything in JoAnns current flyer, just bring in the flyer. I've asked all the Michaels in my area with the same answer. So you're not alone...
I got one of each coupon in the Nashville paper today, too.
But I don't know if they accept each other's. One time I accidentally gave JoAnn's a Michael's coupon and they caught it   ..another time I accidentally gave Michael's a JoAnn's coupon and they didn't even flinch. I realized it when I got back in the car...OOPS!

Michael's has been so rude lately, not leaving flyers out with coupons, nobody knows anything, turnover. A friend worked there for awhile, but quit, said they are horrible. So it's wonder nobody ever knows where anything is.
I like places where you go back and at least some of the same people are there a long time, shows the company treats 'em right, ya know??
Guess this is what happens when a huge company buys out all the competing small craft shops and takes over almost the whole market.

One of the posts said that Michaels would accept as many coupons as you had at the checkout. Ours won't They are very snippy and will only take one coupon per cutomer PER DAY. I guess they remember who comes thru their lines each day??? Good to know Joanns honors Michaels!
Talk about snippy! Our Michaels has to be the most snipy in the world! And they only accept one coupon per day also(I guess they have camerals and take your pic when you buy something!) I only go for the 40% coupons. Otherwise I go to Pat Cattans.
I have found that you can just go to their web site and print out a coupon or ust tell them there was not one in your paper.
Well then you must be one of the lucky few who still has a customer-friendly Michael's in your city. I bought a paper last week that turned out to be missing its Michael's circular, and when I called the store they said they don't keep extras around. Fortunately I was able to get a new, complete set of inserts by calling the newspaper because last week was the big 50% off coupon for President's Day in addition to the regular 40% coupon!
I was there yesterday looking for Pearl Ex to use with polymer clay for my final dec arts class project, and even though I visited the same aisle four times and stayed there for a while searching for the Pearl Ex, the girl who was restocking the shelves didn't even ask me if she could help! There were four others roaming the store, but I finally had to track someone down to help me find it as I couldn't remember where in the store I'd seen it before. If I'd been in Office Max, I'd have been asked at least three times by three different employees if I needed assistance finding what I needed!

I don't think Michaels has a very big fan club. Check out the just "one" of the discussions we've had about our dear Michael's. Oh, and this thread is only 6-pages long.
