Have to tell you...that I just love your avatar...that's a great picture...I'm sure your DH loves it...mine DH would laugh at me...wish I was brave enough to put up a picture like that.
A couple of the ones in the gallery on that Envelopments site looked a lot like an envelope that had been taken apart. You could use the SU! envelope templates (including the new 5-in-1 in the Spring and Summer Minis) to get a few designs!

Thanks - I am just a goofball, so this is me at my dorkiest. If I had a picture of me looking any goofier, I would use that!
check out this site: http://bios.magnificentbliss.com/specialty/ It's from theknot.com.
This is what helped me when I made my invitations. I did a 5x5 pocketfold with the inserts being: accomodations 5.25x5.25 , directions 4.75x5.25, RSVP (postcard styl, no envelopes needed..and cheaper) 4.25x5.25 and the reception card was 3.75x5.25.
I thought I had a photo...I made a lot of things since I had 1 1/2 yrs to plan! I took photos of everything but can't find my invitation photo..hmmm
I know there are some different templates on how to make the pocketfold. I ended up purchasing my pocketfold from textstyledesign.com. They had the color I wanted but there are a few different places you can price check for the cheapest. I think there's a listing of sites if you'd rather buy the pocketfold. You can make them yourself too, I know when I was looking at doing mine there were quite a few girls that were making their own pocketfold because they were specialized or they couldn't find them in their color they wanted. It is a lot cheaper to do these yourself than to buy them assembled from a store. They want 5-6$ for pocketfolds! I decided to get what I wanted for cheaper. I got a lot of compliments on them too! PM me if you have any questions that I might be able to help you with!
anyway, hope this helps you out!
me again! I just wanted to pass on theknot.com website too. (you probably already know about it) This site helped me enormously when I was planning. You can post questions, see others bios of what they are planning/doing and get some great ideas as well as a lot of help on vendors, where to get a particular font, etc. There was stuff out there I never thought of until I checked it out. It is addicting though, I was on theknot all the time. After doing all the wedding stuff I got hooked on papercrafts and stamping...now I'm on SCS all the time lol
It is a good resource though..
good luck!!

Your right...I'll have to play around with that. Because if you make your own, some of the templates require paper larger then SU carries. And I really wanted to use as much SU as possible.
Do anyone know if you address the pocket folds...or do they go into an envelope to??

In response to your question about if you have to put them in an envelope, I believe you do or at least it's probably best to do. i don't know if there'd be a problem with them going through the post office without the envelope. You might get away without one but I haven't heard of it. I had a belly band around my invite with the persons name on it because there was no inner envelope (like the traditional wedding invitations) I put the persons name on a piece of cardstock taped to the ribbon (like John Doe and Guest) They could just slide the band off and open the invitation. I addressed the invitation to the person invited to the wedding, does that make sense? Before you make the invitations make sure they have envelopes in the size you're looking to make.
