We're having a faux free-for-all this week! You don't have the right materials for techniques, embellishments, or even the right stamps? Go faux!
Please put LSC67 in the keyword box when uploading!
Limit: Choose one or more faux element on your card (technique, embellishment, or a stamp)
Stamps: any
cardstock and ink: any
embellishments: any
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
If you need help with uploading your card to the gallery or posting a link, click here! Forums at Splitcoaststampers
Hummm, will have to think about this one...get to it next week! Thanks for posting the challenge each week Jen...it's always fun to see what you will come up with for us.

Hope I get a chance to play later.... But here is a faux postage card that I made earlier this week from the template that Lois (Clownmom) emailed to me! Thank you, Lois!
I just uploaded a card yesterday using a faux buckle. It's a punch by EK Success. This one is just brown paper but usually I color it with a metallic sharpie.
Thanx for this Friday wake up challenge. It was a delight to try something new...but the new was something I learned from SCS's own resource page. Thanx to all of you great artistes! You make my mornings.
how fun to see one of my cards as a sample!! How sad that I can't play today as I will be at a conference all day today and tomorrow. What was I thinking????
Faux sure Joni! Hopefully I'll get to it; we're packing for vacation but I did want to make another of those CD thingies to bring as a little scrapbook/photo album! I could use faux rick-rack or faux stitching on that! I better get to work though; tonite!

Faux is so fun! I did a faux bud basics for the Memorial Day LSChallenge. (Thanks for all the kind comments I received from ya'll that've seen it already). I will have to see if I can think of something clever today.
I didn't have the Print Pattern background stamp, so I recreated the look for less, at a fraction of the cost (actually for absolutely free!) by making a self made diamond shape stamp.
Brayered on babywipe(which is textured with dots and pictures) then used it instead of a background stamp or cs. Whatcha think does it qualify?

Here's mine for today: Another Faux Bud Basics
This was a quickie and I kept making more mistakes to cover up but I think it's o.k. Thanks for looking! (Image may be still pending approval at 9:49 a.m. EST)
I was gone four days and just now got caught up with this week's challenges - I went into withdrawal not being near a computer and being able to see SCS! Good to be home and back among the s/talkers!
