WT63 - A Wheely Good Rerun
Wow...I can't believe it's Thursday already. Where do the days go?! My baby turned one yesterday and my MIL is here so there may not be much stamping from me here today. Anyways....this week's challenge is going to be a rerun as I have had quite a few requests for it. This week the challenge is to dust off your Stampin Around Wheels and get rollin'. Mine seem to have gotten lost in their drawer as I mainly rely on the large background stamps but I do have quite a few wheels that are great and deserve a second look. Wheels are also great for larger sized backgrounds on square or tall cards that are just too big for background stamps or sometimes you just need a little border. Help me out and find more ways to use them as well!
Please remember to put WT63 in your keywords section when you upload and to post a link back here. This is not a race or contest and has no time limit so please feel free to make as many as you wish. Please no Sunday uploads...our moderators deserve a break!
Here is the link to the past challenge if you need some inspiration...
WT06
Happy stamping,

Yippie, challenge is up! Have to think on this one as I'm limited in my wheels. Have to work on getting some when next catty comes out. Will try to do this challenge though with something here.

This is so great! I just uploaded this card last night and it's perfect for today's challenge. I always enjoy the challenges and check them out every week, but this is my first time posting to one of them. Thank you, Julia.
My DD has had a hectic, frustrating time lately and I wanted to send her something special. Here is my card:

I really want to play today. I'm going upstairs to pull a wheel and get creative. Here's one I did back in February. The paw prints were made using a wheel.

Here is one I did with the builder bits wheel to make it a background

Here is one I did with the snowflake wheel

Well, here is one. I am wheel impaired and after trying and trying to get the image, I finally gave up and just ran it over and over the background. I kind of like the mottled look that resulted. Does it stink?

Well I haven't been stamping very long and still don't have any wheels. :(
But this will be a great opportunity for me to see several of the wheels in action all in the same place. Of course all that means is that my wish list will probably just get longer... and longer... and... well ya'll know what I'm talkin' about!!

Me too! I definitely need to practice wheelin'. My DM has the SU! wheel guide, so I think I'll put that to use when I get home from work.

Wheely good idea
Thanx for the creative challenge to my brain. I am sure you all know better than me about suspension cards but that is what this one is. The wrong season but there's nothing wrong with storing up cards for the future, is there?

[SIZE=4][COLOR=darkolivegreen] Baby Shower Card
I just pulled out one of my wheels to make a quick baby shower card that I need for this Saturday. I love the wheels and wish I had more ideas on how to use them!!

This ended up just too busy. I think I'm overusing Bud Basics (happens with every new stamp set;) Mybe I'll try something else simpler, like Tracy. I've got the same problem, girl! I start out thinking I'm gonna go clean and simple and I just can't stop! Maybe I'll try again after the UPS man comes...

I said it before, I'm wheel impaired. So, I faked it.
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I really tried, I did. But I suck big at wheels. So I got out a set with a long skinny stamp and pretended it was a wheel. Do I get points for trying to make it looked wheeled?

The colors look really washed out in the scan :( My scanner hates greens!
I UM ALL my wheels because I too am wheel impared, so much so I was going to throw them all out! But ever since I UMed them, I actually use them! After I UM them from the plastic wheels I put the rubber on EZ Mount foam and use them like long stamps. Works SO much better.

It took me a while to get this done due to unlimited interruptions from kids and the phone. Finally, it's finished.

Laura - What a great idea on unmounting the wheels:p!!! I'm so wheel challenged. I even have the wheel guide and I still stink at it. I'm going to use your idea and unmount mine also. I hate not using my wheels but everytime I do, it's a disaster!
