Flat Stanley is a popular beginners' chapter book series for children. The main character is flat and has many great adventures because of it. Just like Flat Stanley gets through places easier being flat, so can our cards get through the mail system by being flat. So, this week we are making flat cards! :-D
You can make a card with no embellishments at all. Or if you want to use ribbon, don't tie it. Or you can faux it! You want to use eyelets, brads, or buttons, go faux! This is not the time to use dimensionals ;) There shouldn't be any noticable bumps on your card.
Please put LSC66 in the keyword box when uploading!
Limit: embellishments
Stamps: any
cardstock and ink: any
embellishments: only flat embellishments
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

me too, I think?!
Waiting for DH to call from the airport and I've been cruising the challenges site for a day or two now thinking about playing. Still new to this part of the site, I've been in the galleries for months but haven't the courage to hop over here! I actually have a card I think I'm going to post in the am. I made some to send to Norsky Stamper for her Breast Cancer fundraiser. I think I will try something else while I wait for the call...

Well, this is a first for me! Looks like I'm first to post to the challenge. Was working away on another tri-fold and saw Jen had posted early. Was just about ready to put a brad on it, so slapped the punch from my hand and just glued on the ribbon!!
Here's mine: Flat Sunflower

UGH - this is a tough one for me...I love embellishments!! The bulkier the better!! Hmmm...gonna need to think about this one for a bit. Hope I get time to play tomorrow.

I once received a Flat Stanley in college from a boy doing a school project in Wisconsin. My family was living in Iceland at the time so I sent him on. I think Stanley went to Alaska from there. I don't know if he ever got home to Wisconsin but it was fun to participate.
Here is my card for the challenge. The hinges are stickers so it really is flat. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers 14383
Okay this was tough and had to finish it tonight cuz I can't play tomorrow. I really depend on the embellishments to make up for my lack in stamping skill!! But I tried. Not terribly happy with it, but without a bow what can one expect really? lol :/

Flat is NOT where its at for me when it comes to my cards. I always have to add extra postage to get them through the PO. I'm never satisfied until they have some type of 3D thingy on them, so this will be a true challenge. I've seen some beautiful cards so far, though, so maybe there is hope for me.

I couldn't agree more!!!! I'm just like you!!!! THIS will REALLY be hard for me!!! (but I hope to get time later today)
Boo Hoo, I can't play today, we're going out of town for the weekend and I have to pack. Here's one of two cards I have in my gallery with no embellishments.

Good morning, help!?
I just added my cards to the gallery but I don't know how to add the hyperlink to my reply to post it here. I'm not having any luck opening Jen's instructions below. Can anyone help me? I also want to know how are some of you able to make your card title your hyperlink?
Thanks!
