For those of you who use these...on the ones with the white tops, how do you get the labels off--they are a pain! Any hints?
I have some from a co-worker that come off easily (different brand) and she gives them to me without labels (THANK YOU, Julie!) but the regular TicTac ones "ain't so easy, honey"!
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
I didn't have goo gone, but used the 91% alcohol. I pulled off as much of the label as I could and then went over what was left a few times with a cotton ball soaked in the alcohol.

i find nail polish remover works better for me than
alcohol - i use it to clean my craft scissors, too...
I got mine at walmart and mine didn't have labels on them.mine are clear with white tops no labels whatsoever.I need to get another package of them.

I'm with Lisa62-- got mine at Wal-Mart. They are a little smaller than actual TicTac containers, I think. You can still fit a full round container of eyelets, though, like the Making Memories ones come in. There are 24 little boxes and they come in a larger, clear box for storage. I got mine for $4.44-- worth every penny since it means I avoided having to remove labels! I can't get GooGone to work for anything!
i know this is a little off the subject of tic tac containers, but what i use for my brad and eyelet container is one of those plastic pill organizers (sun, mon, tues,etc.). they come in many different sizes. i found one that has 28 little snap-lid compartments. i just used a permanent marker to write the color on the lid. it's not fancy, but it works very well and it's cheap.
I use Undo, or before I found that I used plain old vegetable oil. I found that out when I bought picture frames and always stuck that big old sticker on the glass. Showing my age here, but, the vegetable oil was in "hints from heloise".
When I used to work at a bookstore, we used lighter fluid (!) to remove the goo left behind when price stickers were taken from the books. It takes off the goo without harming the cover of the book - not sure if it would pass safety codes though

I do the same thing but i have my mini brads in them, work perfect, and since I sold tupperware for a while the little containers were free.

WHERE?! Where, where where in Wal-Mart can you find these?

Mine were in the craft section on the bottom shelf where the beads are (I'm in Calgary, so they ARE available in Canada). There is a large acrylic box that holds around 16-20 of the tic-tac style boxes inside...
