Default Where do you get your lunchbox tins?

Hello - I spent the better part of today going through every aisle at Michael's and AC Moore in search of the tins and couldn't find them and the sales people had no idea what I was talking about...

Thanks.

I have purchased one, and bought it at my Local SS. It was $8.99 but I really wanted/needed it, so I splurged. I definitely want to know about cheaper alternatives too!!

Several someones here have mentioned oriental trading...
http://www.orientaltrading.com/appli...=LUNCH+BOX+TIN

I found the one linked to above, but I like those top opening kind.

Here's another link to a site that has the non top opening kind, at Joann's. These are on sale at the moment for 3.99. http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?C...&source=search

I've seen some on ebay... but waaaay expensive ...

So, I guess this is my round about way of bumping your post!!

I found mine (top and side opening) at Joann (the actual store) for $5.99. At least that save you shipping and you don't have to wait!!!

JoAnn is the place for me. You can get some good deals online but you have to order quite a few to make it worth it. JoAnn's by me has them for 5.99 and if you use a coupon you can get it for even less. HTH

I bought mine at oriental trading and they have both kinds there. the top opening kind you can make it into a recipe file box, the other lunchbox can be made a gift box for someone filled with what they like. just some ideas.

Maya Road (www.mayaroad.com) <direct link to lunch tins > has some terrific new designs - their Coffee Break tin looks clever in size.

I have zero LSS's near me so I can only drool at my keyboard at these tins versus embarass myself in a craft store. :-)

creativeexpress.com has them. That's where some of us got them on sale last month for $2.50. I keep watching to see if they will go on sale again. Got my first batch there for $3.50 before the half price sale. Their shipping is very reasonable too. If you order by 12's they ship in their original box so they don't get bounced around as much. Oriental Tradings tins are a little wider, still the same length and height, and the handle attaches differently, also the tin has a shiney smooth white finish instead of a matte finish like the provocraft ones. I got mine from Creative express during the $2.50 sale.

I would like to get some more, but everytime I go there to order, they are out of stock.

They are on sale right now for 20% off, but out of stock last time I checked.

I signed up for to get an email when they were back in stock....I got an email this morning saying * Back in stock* , I went to the web site and they were gone already!!

I tell ya they are the big thing right now!
