I make gift card holders from envelopes. Fold a card-sized envelope in half (like it's a card). Open it back up, and cut the flap of the envelope on the fold, just down to the top of the envelope. So now you have an envelope with two flaps, basically. Seal down the left side. Gift cards fit nicely into the unsealed (right) side. I usually mount my envelope on a piece of cardstock, to make it a little more like a card and not just a folded envelope.

I've done lots, but have only posted one to my meager little gallery...

Interesting...I just noticed that the twine I used in this one to tie the envelope shut is on top of the layers of the leaf image. Hm. Usually, I put the twine (or ribbon or string or whatever I'm using) UNDER the image on the front.... Yeah. I'm definitely gonna need to post more of these...

I have one in my gallery, it's navy blue with white flowers. We took a piece of 4.5 x 6.5 piece of cardstock. Along the 6" side, score 1.5" from the left end and 2.5" from the right end. This makes a sort of tri-fold holder. In the middle section, I use a slit punch to make the area where the gift card will stay. I fold up the holder and tie it with ribbon, you can also make faux buckles, use hodgepodge hardware, etc.

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers is the link, you can't tell from the scan, but there is a torn edge... that's why the flowers all of a sudden stop.

Here's the inside of one of the gift card holders I made from an envelope. I used the slot punch to put the ribbon through. HTH!

Do you happen to have instructions for this gift card holder? I might be able to figure it out by the picture... but maybe not.

Fold the envelope in half. Cut one half of the flap off. Seal the other half of the flap shut. Decorate as desired. I punched a slot punch on the sides to tie closed or you can use a little adhesive on the fold to hold a ribbon around the outside. The gift card goes in the side that you cut the flap off of. Hope this makes sense!
