Hello everyone,
A dear friend of mine introduced me to SCS's wonderful gallery after a tip from our SU demo. I was immediately impressed with your fabulous samples, and couldn't resist "listening in" on the conversations. You ladies, and gentleman, are terrific, and it's lovely to see how you help and encourage one another. I've never joined a forum before, but this seems like a great place to start! About me: I'm a military spouse, living in Germany, and waiting the soon homecoming of my soldier hubby from the "big sandbox". I have 2 sons, 10 and 6, and began stamping when my oldest was a baby. A friend where I worked at the time invited me to a DOTS party - the rest is history. I wish I had beautiful original ideas to share - I guess that's why I loved stamping from the start. It's great for a shameless copier like me. I'm sure there's still hope!
It's so nice to meet you all,

Hi Malinda,
Welcome to SCS! This is the place to be if you love stamping. I think all of us started out not feeling like we were original. But SCS has a way of bringing out your creativity. And feel free to CASE stuff. It's the highest form of flattery. Just give credit to whoever you got the idea from. Post some cards, we would love to see them. I've been hanging around here since the beginning of April and my DH is finally going to show me how to upload. Anyway, prepare to be addicted if you're not already! Welcome to the family! Kim
Hi Malinda, welcome I am a newbie too. Just joined here yesterday.
I hope your hubby gets to come home soon. My nephew is over there for the 2nd time and it's been really hard.
Like everyone has said, I think you will become addicted to this site very quickly.
Have fun and it's nice to meet you.
Tonya
Thanks for the warm welcome! Though I can't say "exactly" when my DH will be home, it will probably be a race between him and the new catty, keeping in mind that military mail service can be dreadfully slow. Just happy that the end's in sight!

MALINDA!!!! You're here! YEAH! Yep, this place IS so addictive. Oh, you have to PROMISE not to rat me out if I CASE anything from this site for our workshop. PROMISE?
Oh ladies, Malinda is a beautiful stamper! Not everyone stamps with grace the way that she does.
I'll definately let you know when those catties get here! I know that they've shipped, now MPS has to get them here before we riot! Can you see the headlines now? "Impatient stampers riot in the streets of Wiesbaden waiting for new catalog!"
So glad you are here, I am sure you will find so much inspiration and camaraderie here. Oh, watch out for Darth! (She's our international spy) she'll keep you in stitches.
Welcome to our little addict central!! You will soon not know where time has gone!! This is a great place for inspiration and for all those little questions that have been nagging at you and need answering...
Malinda are you in Wiesbaden as well? We lived there from 96-99. Make sure you and Melissa enjoy some Nutella!! Is it wine season yet? When you stop at a roadside stand and buy some eiswein or spargel, think of me-those were some of my favorite German treats!

Hi Britta! Yes, I'm in Wiesbaden - currently in Melissa's stampin' club. I haven't seen very many eiswein stands so far this summer - it's been too cool for anyone to care! I'm a spargel fan, too, right now it's cherry season - mmmmmmm.
Hi Melissa! No problem keeping quiet on the CASEing. I looked through my box of cards this morning to see if I had something worth sharing. There was only 1 that was remotely original!
All this catty info is intoxicating! It's good, keeps my mind off not knowing when my DH will arrive...
