Want to help raise money for Breast Cancer? Looking for cards...
Hello Ladies,
I am looking for some help. This August my sister-in-laws and I am walking 60 miles in 3 days to raise money for breast cancer. I have pledged to raise $3000. I have gone through my first round of fundraising with the asking of money from everyone I know which has brought me to $800. I am trying to sell cards now to help my team the Secret Frog Society which I am the team captain of. Its a huge undertaking. Our goal as a team is $8,800.
If anyone has any extra cards that they could send my way I would greatly appreciate it. With the retirement list out this would be a great way to get ride of any extra cards you have stamped with these sets. I package them up and sell 5 for $10. All the money goes directly to the walk.
For more info please check out my link below. Please PM me if you would like my address.
The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
Thank you VERY much,
Kari

I have extra cards I could send you - some are from the beginning of my SU career, but I think they are sellable. A lot of them have matching envelopes, too. Send me your address, thanks!
i do not have any extra but i will make some to send to you just pm me your addy. i always wanted to do the avon walk which takes place in sf ca but was prohibited by the fund raising. so anything i can do to help someone else would be a pleasure. my grandma died of breast cancer when i was 8...so this is near and dear to my heart <3...happy walking!

Thank you. I would like to add your grandmothers name to my t-shirt that I will be wearing to the opening ceremonies. This t-shirt will list the names of all of the loved ones that are survivors and whom lost their battle to this terrible disease. The names added are from everyone donating to this great cause.
Thanks again
Kari

I would like to make some cards to help you. My 84 year old Gramma is battling it round 2 and I lost my friend, Denise Gehman, almost 2 years ago. She was an awesome person and loved stamping!
Please send me your email. With the holiday weekend I probably won't mail anything 'til middle of next week. Is that okay?

That is great. Thank you very much. I'll PM you my address. Let me know your Grandma's name and I'll include her and Denise's name on my t-shirt on opening day. I just reached $1045.25 so far.
Thanks again.

Norsky,
Count me in on this one as well. Three years ago on Father's Day my grandma lost her battle with cancer. It has been a rough three years without her but every little bit I can help I want to. I will see if I can get a couple of my friends to make some cards as well. Girl! We will get you to your mark! Are you keeping track of how many cards you have sold? It would be interesting to know.
I will mail them latter part of next week. Here is my email, please email me your address; [email protected]

Thanks Jennifer. I'm emailing you now. I will keep you all posted on how I'm doing with the cards. I'll try to tally everything this week.
Thanks again,
Kari

I think I might have a few Breast Cancer cards I made last year. My mom had breast cancer about 5 years ago and is still going strong cancer free. This is a wonderful cause to support. Every year our town has a cancer survivor walk to help raise $$ to fund exercise programs for survivors. I will have to remember this idea when October comes. Please PM me your address and I will mail them out this week. Good Luck....

Thanks again and I hope your finals went well.

I just recieved cards from Sonia, Deloirs and Jennifer. Thanks so much.
I think between cards from fellow SCSers and myself I have around 200. I've already sold $50 worth that will be going to the Susan G. Koman foundation. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks again for your support.

So here is an update. I took a box of cards to work the other day just to see if anyone would like to buy some and they went crazy. I sold around $100 worth in I would say less than an hour. So that brings me up to just around $150 so far towards the walk.
Thank you again to everyone that donated.

I just wanted to say another thank you to Kelly again and to Linda. I recieved the cards while I was on vacation. I was glad to see them when I got back. Still waiting on the new catty though:rolleyes: .
Thanks again ladies. We are around $250 now with the card sales. I can't believe it's 5 weeks away.
Thanks again,
Kari

If you're still looking for cards, I can send you 30, with matching envelopes, individually wrapped in cellophane bags. These are "left overs" from a fund raiser I did for our church. I sold them for $2.50 each, and my husband's company matched the donation.
If you would, please add BARB KERNS to your shirt. She lost her battle with breast cancer on November 11, 2004. She was my mother-in-law, and we were VERY close (which is rare!). I miss her greatly.
Good luck with your walk. You're doing a GREAT thing!
