Sneak Peak - New Catty!
I just pulled this off another user group and wanted to share it!!
Don't read if you don't want to know..............
Yep, unbelievable though it may seem, my upline got her preordered box of
the new catties on Friday and didn't even realize it until Saturday when she
opened the box wondering what it was!
She called me and agonized over whether or not she should open it....lol!
Try to guess what I told her! Yep, she and I "viewed" the new catty together
over the phone! So now I'm gonna spill the beans....at least all that I
remember. If you don't know to spoil the catty surprise, better stop reading now!
Ok...you were warned! I don't know what all the new stuff looked like BUT
she said there is some great stuff! Several new sets to replace Little Shapes
and the Shape of Things and Seaside Sketches made it into this catty.
Whoopee!
SAB sets that made it were Mini Messages, SmorgasBorders and A Little Love.
Never really liked that other one anyway....lol!
Figures of Speech from the spring mini made it, forgot to ask about Paris in
the Spring. Petal Points did NOT show up, at least she didn't see it in the
index. Alphadots made it as well.
What I found most interesting of all were which hostess sets didn't make it.
Nature's Sketchbook did NOT make it....amazing! Also Bold Shapes. I hope
that Greetings Galore made it but forgot to ask her about that, I remember
someone seeing an inspiration sheet listed for Little Hellos.
She said they did a great job showcasing the scrapping kits and the
scrapbook papers and there are some great new punches all with the "whaletail" punch
feature. Yippee! that is the best!
No craft ink stampin' spots (boo hoo!) but there are journaling pens in 8 or
9 of the SU colors. She couldn't tell about the watercolor pencils but they
had an AquaBrush (alias waterbrush) and had some "kits' for beginners in the
catty. Looks like the minimums for hostess workshop were the same and it's
all still wood mounted, no acrylics. Magic mesh in several colors, Pearl Ex
"samplers" instead of the big jars and Pearl White Lumiere still in the catty.
That's all I can remember for now, maybe that will hold us all until we can
see the catty!

I wonder how many boards this is on by now. I've read it three different places. :lol: I'm bummed about Nature's Sketchbook, but someone in another group has offered me her extra. I want to make coasters out of it so I'm taking it from her. At least I'll get it one way or another.

It's funny, I wasn't thrilled with NS all year, now I'm happy I have it. Go figure. But I love the coaster idea. Am soo looking forward to seeing that catty!

new catty
Okay, call her back, we need MORE info!!! What color scheme did they use on the cover? Any other new accessories? Any new stamp set themes that are really different from before? Any other mini catalog sets that made it?
My OEX still says closed. :( I know Su says it won't say when it's shipped since It's coming from the printer but so many other people say there status changed to chipped! It usually takes me 3-4 days to get an SU! order from time it ships, so now that it's Monday and i'm supposed to have it by the 15th, if it doesn't ship soon.....GRRRR!!!!

Catalogs
I talked to a supervisor at SU on Friday and she confirmed that the status will never change to shipped if you preordered the catalogs. I don't know who said theirs changed or when they ordered theirs, but mine still says closed and the east coast were supposed to ship first since it takes longer to get here. She also said we should have them by Wednesday, so they would have had to have shipped last Wednesday. Too bad we can't track by arriving address.

Two Things
Someone pointed out how much of an "Urban Legend" feel this post has. Very vague, no names, just "someone's upline in Ohio" and very a friend of a friendish feel. I almost hope they are right because I really want Nature's Sketchbook to be in the new catalog. And another thing ~ who waits a full day to open a box from SU when they are expecting something as important as catalogs?
Second ~ if you get your order number from OEX, you can semi-track your package by Reference Number. It isn't very specific, probably how it was shipped, but you can see if it is in the UPS system or not and when it was put in.

Kymbers_Stampin--thank you so much for that info on tracking by reference#. I just went to ups.com and put in my order# and it shows that my catalogs should arrive on July 16th. They actually left Portland on the 10th. But it did say that this was a rescheduled delivery date, so I called DS to ask about this. She said that they have a time frame from July 15th to the 21st to deliver our pre-ordered catalogs. She also said that our complimentary copies should arrive by mail and were sent at the same time. I feel better knowing that they are definitely on their way!

how are you traking on ups site without a ups #
I don't understand how you are able to check the ups site for status if you don't have a ups traking number? Since the su site only shows closed and not shipped there is no ups tracking number. What number are you using on the ups site to track the order?

How/Where exactly did you guys find a reference# to track by. All I can find is my ordre# and that didn't exactly do me any good.

Ok....here is the evil smurfs theory;
those that are being sent out of the country, like canada or the afb are getting tracking #'s because they are being sent directly from SU.......the printers probably dont send over boarders.
Just a theory from my alter.

UPS SHIPPING
I went to OEX and got my order number and typed it in the UPS reference # but it didn't work. Anyone else try this?

You need to use the order number where you had ordered your catalogs in the reference number line at ups.com. This is the number that starts with an "S". I just checked mine and they have a rescheduled delivery date on 4 out of 5 boxes for July 16th. The other box says it is scheduled to deliver today but it shows it sitting in Colorado and I live in Arkansas. I don't think they will be delivered today :?   |

I enetered my SU! order number in the reference number box at ups.com and it came back telling me it didn't exist basically.
I'm just very excited about getting mynew catalogs! |

I just tried "tracking", using my Order # and it (UPS system) doesn't like the #. Am I missing something?

I just tried it & yea, 1 box is due here on Wednesday & one box on Thursday.
Use the full SU order # (including the S at the beginning and the US at the end). On the UPS screen, go to the "Tracking by Reference #" screen not the "Tracking by Tracking #" (or whatever it says). Then input the full #. HTH.

Tracking by "reference #" is the ticket

Ok tried it and UPS says 'unale to track shipment, UPS could not find any shipments for that reference number.
Thanks to everyone for your help, guess I'll just have to be patient and wait.

Actually, Dorina, mine said that too the first time. So I tried it again, this time typing in a capital "S" and capital "US" at the end, and it worked. My box is supposed to arrive on Wed. Yippee!

I just tried to track mine and it said it was billed but didn't say where it was. BOO-HOO. If it hasn't started moving yet I won't have it till next week sometime and I have stamp club on Wed and a ws on Thurs.

Your package probably hasn't shipped yet, because you are in OR. I think they're shipping the packages from the greater to lesser distances first, so that people on the East coast will receive their packages on or around the same time as the people on the West coast. I live in OK and mine shows up that it was shipped today, but there is no scheduled delivery date yet. I bet they ship your package either tomorrow or the next day because UPS will deliver to your house within a day or two.
Just out of curiousity, I need a zip code for OR so I can see how many days it takes UPS Ground to get here! Can you send me one?

The catalogs are being shipped from Oregon from what I understand and perhaps that is why some of you have not had yours shipped yet.
A big thanks to whoever figured out how to track the shipment. I relayed the information to my demonstrator and she was able to figure out that the catalogs are due to arrive on the 15th. We are in Tennessee.

I am just west of Portland on the way to the coast, my zip is 97133
I didn't know they were shipping from OR, that makes sense to me now that mine doesn't show up. I'll be sure to let everyone know when I get mine.

According to the UPS tracking, mine are coming from Portland, OR. They went out on July 8th & July 9th to Northcentral Indiana.

I just tracked my catties and they will be here on the 16th :lol: Friday seems so far away! I'm a fairly new demo so for those of you seasoned demos: In the past when did you receive your complimentary catty in the mail if you didn't attend convention? Wouldn't it be great if that came before our boxes?!
Also, I'm waiting on my email from Daven so I can see 120 new cards from the DD! I donated last week so the wait shouldn't be much longer.

YEAH!!! I did it and it worked. Mine will be here on July 14..North Texas .....At first it wouldn't work then I did a cut and paste and it came up.....I must not have been typing it in right.....Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lol: :lol: :lol:

Lisa- I tried your number just after I did mine and it didn't get anything. I bet it is because they are shipping from Portland Oregon- It would only take a couple days to get to you so they may ship yours tomorrow or Wednesday. Mine have to come to NC and were shipped on July 9 to arrive this Friday the 16th. I placed my preorder on June 3 by the way.
Hope this helps and maybe it will be shipping when you check UPS.com tomorrow!
