SBSC32 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
SBSC32 Sketch Challenge
This week, and every week in the future we will be posting both a 12 X 12 AND a 8-1/2 X 11 double page layout.
These are designed by Tracy and myself. (Amy is temporarily away for a few months) You will NOT find these sketches anywhere else!! How exciting is that?
You do not have to fill ALL empty spaces with photos, you can stamp, embellish or use your imagination and fill in the blanks! Just make sure you USE THE SKETCH we provide!! You must follow our sketches to be eligible to win the prize this week. If a double page layout is too much for you to do, we will still judge one page layouts that follow the sketch (just delete one page) If you have any questions post them in here and someone will help you. Be it Amy or myself, or someone that knows the answer
Scan or take a photo or your work, upload with SBSC32 in the keywords, and post it here for us all to see. Please be sure to type SBSC32 with NO SPACES. Be sure you use these keywords AND in your title so we can search for judging!
Tip: If you like you can type what your journaling says in the notes section of your upload in your galley. Be sure to JOURNAL somewhere on your page.
Be remember there are no uploads on Sundays, as the wonderful ladies that approve uploads need a day off too! This means NOT UPLOADING! Please do not upload assuming that they will just approve it on Monday AM, as they get slammed with Sunday Uploads. Thanks! (((hugs)))
WOOHOOO for Tracy and Cindy!!! Awesome sketches!!! I will be doing these this week!!! I love those tags Tracy!! Your sample of your sketch is darling Cindy!! I'm so glad that you did that!! THANKS!!

My inspiration for this sketch came from a 12x12 page I made long ago. It only uses the sketch on the right and the left is what I created for this challenge.
BTW, for the empty space on the left side of this layout... What I had in mind for it was to either:
Add some journaling,
A fun embellishment, or
Possibly another small pic!
The possiblities are endless. I can't wait to see how creative you gals get with this one.
Sorry about the hand-drawn layout for this week's challenge! Next week I plan to use the trusty computer.
I will upload my sample later tonight. Next week my sample will be posted along with the sketch...This week I was just ready to jump in and get the sketch ready to go!

Okay here is my submission for the 12x12 challenge. It is a layout of some pictures we took in my parents' backyard on a beautiful June evening before Emileigh did her very first piano recital.
WOw Kimmie you are fast! Actually I would have had mine up there if I didn't stop! i got everything done, but the title and the embellishment. I am not sure what and how I want to title it and what to use for an embellishment. So I moved on to the next dps i am going to do then I puttered out and stopped. now I have to make dinner. I like your background paper very fun.
Thanks!! Yeah, I had time, so I've been working on it since the sketch went up. I'm really anal about doing my books in chronological order, so depending on what pictures are next, it really is a challenge for me. Anyhoo, I hear ya about having to stop and make dinner! Geez, if we didn't have to eat, we could get sooo much more done!!!
I just finished my sketch layout, too. Here's a picture of it. I love everyone's background papers and yet I find for myown scrapping, I like to use plain cardstock - that would be a CHALLENGE for me - to use patterned paper!
I like my books chrono, too, but since I have just started scrapping, I have LOADS of pictures to scrap! I sort one year at a time into 'pages' so for the challenges I can pull a set that (I think) work well with the sketch. I am loving the sketches and they are really getting me going - I do them and then will do several more - Yay! for scrapbooking and Yay! for our divas!

This is my first scrapbook challenge, I am still working on last weeks but this just came to me so easily. I am soo sorry the pic. is blurry, my camera stinks! Thanks for the challenge this was really cute! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers pending as of 10:14pm MT
Eeek! How come everyone is done already! I thought, being several hours ahead of you, that I'd get a head start! Never mind, I'll see if I can find any photos to scrap and do my best to have a go at this one.
Well, I have only made one scrapbook page, so I should try this out. Being and SU demo and all, I might want to sharpen my skills!
Jump on in!! There is no better place to go for inspiration and support while you get started...and keep going! I just "found" these gals last week, after a 2-year hiatus from scrapbooking, and they've got me revving to go!! :p
Here's my first Scrapbook Challenge Post. This was so much fun. I will definitely be participating in more challenges. Thanks for the inspiration to scrap.
I took Tracy's 8x11 challenge and made it work for my 12x12 album and here is what I came up with! It is still pending but hopefully it will be approved soon!
I forgot to put the journalling in my posts so here it is. The journalling on the left page reads, "You loved to go outside. Anytime Papa went out to do anything you would plead to go outside with him." The journalling on the right page says, "You were always interested in what Papa was dong and often the two of you took twice as long to finish any job because you kept stoppiing to play."
I took Tracy's 8x11 challenge and made it work for my 12x12 album and here is what I came up with! It is still pending but hopefully it will be approved soon!
Thanks Kimmie! I had about given up on anyone trying it out!
I had stated that I would work on my sample last night...Well, it didn't happen! The size just was not working for me...So, I think that ANYONE that wants to do my challenge in a 12 X 12 version should go for it...Mine is 12x12 as well!
I will upload mine after dinner!

Be prepared Tracy! It's taking a LONG time to get stuff approved today. I posted my at least an hour and a half ago.
I loved your layout Tracy, and I love the way mine turned out using it. I only work in 12x12, so I always fiddle with it, to make it work. Great job on your first week, Tracy!! You rock, chickie!! ;o)
This is my first time participating. I hope I did everything right. I must admit that this challenge modivated me to scrapbook. I've been hooked on cards lately.

This is my first time participating in the SB challenge- it was a good thing to get me kick started back into doing some pages. The sketch method is good for me- I need to try it more often. Here are my pages from our Brownie investiture- the journaling is hidden under the picture on the right page- it pulls out from the "friend" quote.
I really like this sketch and printed it round with the full intention of doing a page... but I'm afraid I haven't managed it. :( Couldn't find the perfect photos for it - I'm waiting for a delivery - and just didn't feel like scrapbooking this weekend. Sorry!
I'm ducking out this week too. I loved the sketching and am going to catch up. I had a really busy week last week and ended up cleaning on my day off today and playing with my daughter. No time to scrap. I sometimes take it to work but corporate's there all week so I won't have the chance. I'm a little bummed that I'm missing two weeks in a row, I definately have to do the next one.
