Just curious if you find value in SU cardstock. I constantly use white cs as foundations for my cards and it's getting really boring. I'm about to put in an SU order for stamps and I'm thinking about adding on one assortment pack from each color group. Is their c/s worth it? I've seen assortment packs elsewhere for less money, but I don't always like the colors. I do have tons of Bazzill, but I reserve that for scrapbooking so I don't have a sense of regular c/s prices. Any opinions?
I think it's worth it. A friend of mine that I got started thought I was kidding when I told her to buy SU cardstock. She bought some and said that she is going to buy more of that and give the other to her daughters. I wouldn't buy anything else but SU.
YES!!! I think SU! paper is better than anything I've ever worked with, and I've got a TON of paper. The colors are richer, the paper makes beautiful tears, it's heavier--I just can't say enough good things about it. I'm totally hooked!!!!
I love my SU cardstock! It is really nice to stamp on and since it comes in all 48 colors (plus others) it is great for coordinating with my inks. Also, it is better quality than most (imo). Dawn

I have used Hobby Lobby and other various paper from Walmart and other places, and to be honest, SU is better. You can feel the difference even!! I am ordering all the colors soon, and using up the stuff I have now....it DOES make a HUGE difference in the finished product. HTH
Most definitely! Like the others have said, the quality is amazing. It has a very nice weight to it, and I really like the colors and how they coordinate with everything.
You won't be sorry you bought it. Well, maybe you will when you decide you just need more!
SU paper is the reason I became a demonstrator. I had to have it all and I wanted it at the demonstrator price. Then it just kind of snowballed and I decided that I needed everything else too.

It's so worth it when I started buying stamps. I would buy my cardstock at art supply stores. Because I thought that it was pricey and I could get better deals else were...But I gave in that one time and tried the asst. cardstock packs. And well the rest is history we have been together ever since...Now I have all this other cardstock that I will never use again...So this ended up being pricey either way.
So buy it FIRST and try it...You will love it!!!

I want it all...PLEASE!
Absolutley.... Positively... Without a Doubt!!!! I wouldn't use anything else. Once you get it, feel it and then feel some of your other stuff! You will be amazed how thick it is and how easily it folds and how wonderful it is to work with! You will not regret it one bit!
YES!!!! I have many customers that are CM lovers and they love the SU cardstock....I get orders from them about every three months to stock up again. They even prefer the designer papers more.
I don't like other company's cardstock...it's just not the same quality. My DH was a printer for 22 years so I learned alot about paper quality. HTH

yes, I think it's worth it. Just reserve the other stuff for die cuts or something. I have a heck of a time with my Quickutz dies when using SU cardstock. The cheaper stuff works much better, I think because it is not so heavy.
I won't buy anything else unless it's a specialty paper that I like. The quality is the best I've come across and the colors match all the inks, markers, etc. It's nice and heavy and makes a quality card. I have the 'other' stuff and it's been sitting in the corner feeling very unloved.
The worst that can happen if you buy the assortment pack is that you'll want more!
I agree with everyone, SU cardstock is the BEST!!! When I started stamping last year, I figured I save some money and get the paper from HL when it was on sale. But, it ended up costing me more, since I won't use it anymore! I'm probably going to give to the kids at a local school. At least it won't go to waste.
YES!! I love SU cardstock! It's all I use. I love that it coordinates with the ink and embellishments. I have tried other stuff before but now that I have all the SU ink and cardstock I never use anything but. It's definitely worth it!
Definately! You never have to worry again about one or two sheets not being cardstock weight...I was running ino this alot at stores! And it all cooridinates with inks, markers, chalks!
When I started buying SU stuff, I mainly saved my money for the stamps. Now that I'm a demo, I absolutely LOVE the cs. I wish I had started buying that first thing ... and not wasted so much money on all the other! LOL!
Stampin Up cardstock is definitely worth getting. When I first started stamping I used the cheaper stuff figuring I would save money. That didn't happen as I became frustrated when the ink and paper didn't match. Soon I was buying and splitting packs with a girlfriend until we had all the colors. I find myself making very few cards with white as the base card now that I have so many wonderful colors of cardstock and inks to work with.
yep!!! i love the colored CS, and the kraft, confetti, etc. i am not crazy about the US white, as it frays when you cut it. yes, I know that I can put a piece of computer paper under the US to prevent the fraying, but it is very cumbersome when cutting lots of paper.
I love stampin' up paper. The colors are so rich and even if I don't like a color, I end up finding somewhere it looks great. I'm really cheap, ':?' but the price doesn't bother me because I know it's worth it and I would only be wasting money on anything else.
I have to be honest - I don't really like it that much more than other companies. Some of the SU cs, dare I say, is too stiff and the colors are flat, not as vibrant as others I've used. Just my opinion.
I wouldn't call it "bad", but I wouldn't call it the best either.
I too will admit that I thought I would go to the cheaper paper when I first started stamping. I couldn't believe the difference in how it feels once I first bought SU cardstock. Now I am hooked only to Stampin' Up! paper.
You definately won't regret it.

It's the only kind I will use. I can't believe how easy it makes everything.
All of my projects coordinate, and I don't have to worry about running out of a color, getting more and it not matching the color I started out with. Definitely! SU Cardstock is a must!!!!!
YES! ABSOLUTELY! Get their paper! It's awesome quality and really adds to the quality of the card. I love how their colors coordinate with all the other accessories. You may not think it's much, but I believe it's the little details that make the card special, beautiful, and professional looking.
Some of the SU cs, dare I say, is too stiff and the colors are flat, not as vibrant as others I've used. Just my opinion.
I would have to agree that the colors are flat/matte. I like the stiffness/weight of the paper and the quality. I do sometimes feel limited by the fact that the paper is flat and non-textured. I wish SU! would start carrying textured paper (like Bazill???).
It's the best!!! Before I became a demo. I bought paper at Michaels. What a difference in thickness and you can't beat all the beautiful colors!
I would never buy anything else anymore!
I think their cardstock is great. The quality is extremely good. I would have to say it is among the best with regard to thickness, etc. I always use White CS for the card and the SU colored on top of it as a card front, etc.
It is also priced really well. Their ribbon is another great buy if you don't want to buy 100 yards to get a good price. LOL
Ditto above to almost everything everyone else has already said! I got bored with white cards stock, too! And was disapointed that it seemed too flimsy with my layers of heavier SU cs on the front. Several WCS suggested that I use Confetti White and Confetti Cream for my base card. I immediately ordered packages of both and the envelopes to match! Now I use it as the base for all of my cards! A friend even noticed the other day when she was looking at some cards I had made and asked me what paper it was.
As everyone has said! You won't be sorry if your order all of the SU card stock - but remember to order some Confetti (white or cream), too!) (and envelopes if that's important to you)
Definitely worth it! One of my favorite ink colors is Pink Passion and try finding cardstock that exact color in stores, can't be done! And that's a color that if it doesn't match exacty it will clash big time! I do agree with another post that I wish SU had a little more variety in patterned or textured paper, and I also wish that they would carry larger variety packs, like 10 sheets of each color rather than just 3.
I used to work at a stamping/scrapbooking store, and SU paper is competitively priced. It is a little more than the basic paper we had, but the same price or cheaper than the nicer paper.
The colors are the best. It takes the guesswork out of matching the ink pads. It is also high quality and a good weight. I definately think it is worth it. I also love how it can be delivered right to your door!!!
I fought it for a while - but YES, I finally figured the price was about the same as card stock & I didn't have to deal with all the matching issues!!!
