This week's week's ways to use it challenge is to use your gel pens. SU sells the awesome signo white gel pen and there are lots of ways to use that and there are also glittery gel pens and glaze gel pens that have awesome effects as well. Use what you have and find some ways to use it. Feel free to add any tips you might have. I've heard that if you gel pen skips, put it in the freezer...does this work?
Sorry about the lame title and no cards to start you off. I've been sick since Monday night so you'll have to bear with me. I haven't even had time to look at half of last week's flower power cards.:( I know there must be lots as there are lots of posts to the thread.
Please remember to put WT59 in your keywords section and post a link back here. Also remember no Sunday uploads. Thanks for playing along!
Oh, Julia, sorry to hear you have that. I was lucky and never got it. Have to put my thinking cap on for today's challenge as I only have the SU one. hmmmmmmm Now if baby will let me play today! ;)
I hope you are feeling better soon! No worries about not having a sample card....now this will be a TRUE challenge because we will really have to use our imaginations!
I just ordered mine last night so I am out for this challenge (Beth, are you happy now that mine is on the way?). But, I'll be taking notes for when mine does get here.

Well actually, it's mastitis...so I don't think I caught it from anyone.;)
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. Been there and it's no fun. Hope you're feeling better soon.
I just got some gel pens for my birthday, so this challenge came at a great time for me.
Feel better soon! Thanks for posting.......other than stitching what to do?? Can anyone tell me how I post a link back here? We have to do that along with the WT59 in the Keywords? Sorry, new to the challenges.........only done a couple of CC & SC, haven't posted a link back on any of them, just done the keywords, can someone help me out? Thanks again Julia!

So sorry to hear your not feeling great. I've been there also... not fun. I'll have to see what I can come up with. My ds has a stash of gel pens so I guess I'll be "borrowing." Can't wait to check out everyone's ideas!

OWIE, OW, OW!!! I had that when I was weaning.....I hope you feel better soon!!
Thanks for the challenge....have to raid the kiddos pencil boxes (they have lots of gel pens...my way of getting them to let me go shopping at the scrapbooking/card store!!
Location: My very hot stamp room, in Phoenix! It's a dry heat.

I did a card, but no original thinking on using the gel pen. I have others besides the SU gel pen, but they make me crazy with their lousy skipping. Why do I keep them? Total frustration. Oh well. Here is the card I made for my dgd's birthday next week.
My Signo white is on the way - I can't wait to use it (of course I do have some other gel pens at the house... I'll see what I can come up with over the weekend!)
Yeah, I get to play today (I hope) I am addicted to my white gel pen, I'm with Jeanne and probably use it on every card!! Sorry you're not feeling well Julia - mastitis is the pitts. I've had it 3x. ((((Hugs)))) to you, hope you feel better soon!!
I bought my DD the huge set of these from CostCo a few years ago. The best tip I have is to store them vertically, with the pen tip down. The gel is so thick that this helps get the bubbles out. I do this with my "good" Sakura, too. If I have one that is skipping, shake it like a thermometer; real hard with the tip down and a good "snap" of the wrist at the end! Don't know about the freezing idea Julia mentioned, but these few tips seem to keep them flowing!
I love everything I see stampers doing with these pens, but I only have a SU one too. I will do something with this challenge, but will have to wait until next week. In the meantime, I will enjoy seeing the results others post here.
Thanks for keeping us all challenged!

I bought some Souffle gel pens a few weeks ago and have to say I am not thrilled with them, they seem watery. I gave them another shot on my card and as long as I was only making dots it seemed to be okay.
Julia--hope you are feeling better soon!

Oh, MAN!! That's even worse!! I've BF 3 kids and had it at least twice with each. Thank goodness I am finally weaning my DD and won't have to worry about it EVER again!!!
Thanks for the challenge, Julia, and feel better soon! I'm sending my challenge card as a get well for a friend in ICU. Guess I'd better make one
for Julia, too! ;) Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I have some glaze pens I seldom use, so I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does with their pens!!
Here's one I've got PURSE CARD
and I hope to work on a new card later today!!
