Default How many retiring SU! sets do you NEED to buy?

I'm always shocked at how many I MUST have. When I first looked at the list it didn't seem too bad, but they add up fast!!

Well, I THOUGHT I needed 7, but I've narrowed it down to 4. That was quite a decision, but the budget just wouldn't allow for 7!!!!

I picked 1-4, but really there are zero "must haves" for my taste and only one "maybe".

Only 1 for me - Goin' Buggy. I've been debating for a few months and since it's retiring I'll go ahead and get it since it's only one. If I had to buy more than $50 worth, I'd have to make some tough decisions since that's the max my budget allows. Now, I'll be able to get paper and maybe a summer mini set, too.

Well I started with a wishlist of 45 retired stamps. Have managed to get it pared down quite a bit, and probably will pare it down a bit more. In no certain order, these are the ones I keep looking at:

1. Heavenly Heralds
2. Maternal Instincts (but sis has it if push comes to shove)
3. Oh So Sweet
4. Sweet Songbirds
5. Terrific Tulips
6. Ageless Adornment
7. See with the Heart
8. Elegant Ornaments
9. Border Builders
10. Just Jeans Background
11. Geometric Background
12. Vogue Verses
13. Versatile Verses
14. Season's Greetings
15. On the Edge Alpha

I hope to get these 15 pared down to at least 8. Then I will get 4 in May and 4 in June.

None!! (that wasn't an option on the poll, btw...) I can't demo them so why buy them?! I'll be selling probably all of the 60+ discontinued ones I have so I can buy *NEW* sets!

I have kept a select few in past years, but haven't even used them! oh well...

I voted for 1-4 only because there are NONE that I am buying and there wasn't that option on that poll. I like to wait to see what will be in the new catalog. By this time, I have everything I wanted in the current catty anyway.

I just ordered Going Buggy. Now I'm thinking about Toile Blossoms, Terrific Tulips and Crayon Kids. Part of me thinks that if I've lived without them for this long, do I really need them. Then the other part of me starts to panic a little knowing that they could be hard to get after they are retired. Decisions, decisions!

I had 5 on the list. But I narrowed it down to 2. Little Layers and Little Layers II. I really like Tidy alphabet but then I'd have to get the numbers too....

How come there isn't a "zero" category? I've already bought all the sets that I want.

I saw a couple I kind of liked...but probably won't order anything this time. Anticipating the new catty....and figure if the retireds are something I really really want...will just jump on Evilbay. Most likely I will be on to the new things and have no interest in the retired/soon to be retiring stuff. ;)

0 This years catty didnt please me to much, along with most of the mini's. I wish they would do less flowery stamps.

I do like the old style kids (Travel Time) and can't stand the new "football" head kids.

There's a few I'd like to have, some that I would need to have (but probably could do without) and some I'm on the fence about.

Two or three for me. I regret not buying the retiring masculine/boy sets last year (thought they'd be replaced!), so I'm buying a few this year.

I just want one. Angler. My dad is a fisherman so I would like to do some scrapbooking with that set. The catty for 05-06 didn't really impress me, just some of the minis were really nice.

If the new catty is anything like the summer mini, my purchases will be limited to just inks, cardstocks and ribbons.

I found the summer mini a little tacky. That's just me though, I can be a little picky about things.

I fit in the 0 category too. I'm saving my money for the new catty. I don't think I am even buying any of the new hostess sets or anything from the Summer mini. Wow! What strength! lol
