I got my catalog today too!!! It's awesome...if it weren't Sell a Bration I may have gone nuts! It will definately be a great resource....the ideas alone in that catalog are phenomenal!!!(i know I spelled that wrong...sorry)
we got it the other day and I think mom and I have looked thru it like 10 times *L* She's even made a list of things to order. Confound all of these wonderful companies that fuel our already out of control habits!
I liked the last one where they had the blow-out sale on fibers! OO! And those skeleton keys! If you are a scrapbooker-this is your delight!  me? I am a lowly card maker....
Have fun deciding what to order.

I got one today, too, as did a couple of friends of mine......... where do you suppose they got our addresses? Do we all get Paper Crafts or Rubber Stamper magazines?
I loved the screw brads that were in there, way too cool for guy cards!
I have gotten 2 issues so far, but haven't ordered, yet....
I get the catty and yes, they do have some great deals sometimes. I try not to order too often. I started getting mine when I subscribed to the old "Crafts" magazine. I believe it's affiliated with the current publication. I think it's "Papercrafts" or something like that. I don't get it anymore, just Memory Makers and Rubber Stamper.
I got the catty but havent gotten a chance to look at it yet. I have also ordered from them and they are very quick with service and have good products. I too try not to order from them too often either but they still get me once in awhile.
I was thinking the same thing when I rec'd my catty today...how did they get my address. I agree it did appear to have some good deals when I quickly thumbed through it. Will need to sit down and look through it again.

I have ordered embellishments and the retractible craft knife from them. I combined an order with a friend to get free shipping... they are very fast shippers...I was satisfied with everything I got.
A couple friends and I oredered from them last fall to get their cool mini brads. They came quickly and are an excellent product. I'm trying to refrain from ordering things out of the current catalog, but there's so much I really like!
I actually requested the catalog...so I can't help you in that search.
I've also rec'd two and orded nothing yet, but drooled lots-gave mine to a friend to browse thru and she's placing an order! It's just so hard to make up my mind--whine
I like the 12x12 storage ideas for paper.. The hanging folders are fabulous but I think I might just get that magazine box type thingy with the dividers in
I got mine last week. I have ordered from them before. I was pleased with everything. I also took a ephemera scrapbooking class (taught by someone from their co.) at the Mega Meet last year in Novi, Michigan. I learned neat things about tearing, chalking and distressing. They sell reallyneat stuff and have so many good ideas too.
Has anyone ordered from paperwishes.com? I received their catalog in the mail the other day and have been looking through it. There are many things that don't have a "brand" to them, but look like it. Is there stuff good, or just cheap knock-offs that will fall apart when I try to use them?
Orientaltrading.com can be like that, depending on the item - some stuff is really cheaply made.
Just wondering if it's worth it - they do offer free shipping.
I usually order from Joann.com, and only order the stuff that's on-sale, and when they offer free shipping. I have been very happy with the items from Joann.com.
I think all of the items in the paperwishes catty are the original brand names. Just for some reason they haven't listed the items as such. I love Joann's too. In fact I just spent quite a bit there. I have wanted to order from Oriental trading, but haven't yet. Can you tell me what items you received that you were not happy with?
I've always been pleased with my orders from them. I usually go in with several others on an order to take advantage of their free shipping. That way I don't have to spend $50 all by myself.

MIL orders from them a quite a bit and has been very pleased with the products she has recieved and the timely manner in delivery. It seems for some things they don't mention the brand, maybe they can't for some contract reason but they are not knockoffs--ie punches, prima flowers, etc.
I have ordered from them and have been very happy. They ship within days, and their stuff seems to be high quality. I got two embellishment boxes from them - each holds 20 round plastic-topped containers for brads, eyelets, etc., which I have totally filled out. I think they were $5.99 or $6.99 each. I really like their stuff.
I love Paper Wishes! I like to wind down at night just looking through the catalog. I have ordered lots of things from them in the past, and have been very happy! (I have been hesitant about Oriental Trading because I'm not sure of their quality.)
The only thing I would say is think hard about ordering tools. If it's something you can get at Michael's, you can always do better with a coupon. That said, they have an amazing selection of stuff, and I could spend a fortune!
Paper Wishes is a division of Herschners, Inc. (yarn & needlecrafts) which has been around for years. I have ordered from Paper Wishes numerous times and had always been pleased with the merchandise and quick service. I have never had a problem with anything I have ordered!

I have ordered from paperwishes.ca (the Canadian branch) and I have been pleased. It gives me confidence to know they are a division of Herrschners, because I used to order all of my cross stitch stuff through them.
Ps: here are a few good canadian on-line stores i have been ordering from..
Frogswhiskers.com
Trinity.com
oldislandsaltsprings.com
Morningstarink.com
Hope this helps..loves ya..Gail
I've ordered from Paper Wishes quite a lot and have always been happy with their products. I especially like their embellishments since they often have items I never see in the stores. Good prices on their embellies.
I joined their monthly club at one point where I was sent packages of products every month for scrapbooking. The kits offered a lot of products I would not intentionally buy but since they were there I'd try them. Found several products I really liked. There were enough supplies to do about 10 pages. I was finally drowning in them so I quit the club. They also offer a card making monthly club I think.
Thanks so much for everyone's input. I'll be putting together my "wish list". I do like that I can order coordinating embellishment sets from them. I can't always find matching stuff at Michaels or Joanns - they'll have one thing in the same style/brand, but nothing else.
I do love oriental trading for party supplies and craft supplies for girl scouts. And, their lunchbox tins are bigger than the ones at Michaels/Joann - and cheaper.
I have three of the Embellishabilities, and I love them! I also have the paper that matches and I think they are a real bargain! I have Citrus, Classic, and Vintage. I'm itching to get Flea Market, but I am trying so hard to use some things up before I buy more! My craft room is bulging at the seams!!

I recommend them...
Good description! I was very tempted by the club, but that is exactly what I figured would happen. I can't use stuff up when I make a conscious decision to buy it. That would be stuff automatically arriving at my door!
I, too, used to order a lot of cross stitch items from Herschnerr's. They had a cool site for their clearance items that was sort of like ebay, but just to bid on their stuff. Now that I have enough counted cross stitch to last until I'm at least 90 years old, I don't even stitch any more because I'm too busy buying and using my stamping stuff!
If you ever need to check out a company's reputaion on anything, from customer service to products, your state's Att'y General's office is the place to go. They all have a Consumer Fraud division whose purpose is to moniter all companies allowed to sell anything in or to your state and its citizens. They'll be able to tell you if there are any investigations, complaints, or concerns and what those on file are all about. FYI.
I really like the quality of the items I have ordered from Paperwishes. All I have to say is when a new catalog comes to you - order quickly as the good deals are sold out fast!

I have ordered from paper wishes on occassions.... I like to stock up on their brads and smaller items as they're cheap.
Two things...
I once got a baby scrapbook from them and didn't like it when I got it. The colors just seemed "old" to me... paper cheap, etc. But that is the only thing I have ever gotten from them that I didn't like.
Also, I have on several orders had an item or two on backorder. One item (a punch) was literally back ordered for months and some brads took a couple weeks longer than everything else. That lesson has just taught me to leave plenty of time before I "have to have" stuff when I order!!!
Don't knock Oriental trading company. Super fast service and all the stuff I have ordered has been great quality and great value. I was hesitant about paperwishes because I have seen some of the stuff in the catty at my dollar store.

Paperwishes anyone?
I just got my first Paperwishes catalog. I don't know why I got it, but it has some neat stuff in it. I was just wondering if anyone has ever purchased from them and the quality of their items. How is their customer service?
TIA,
Teresa
