My "must haves" seem to be everything in the back of the catalog! If you haven't tried the Aquapens, get one! They're great with watercolor pencils, or use them with your markers or stamp padsfor watercoloring, or with Future Floor Finish & Pearl Ex.
SU's eyelets are a must-have for me. I love the color coordination, and the eyelets are excellent quality. I also buy SU envelopes. I just can't put all that work into a card and then put it into a nasty cheap-o envelope.

I'd say the markers are my biggest must haves. I also reach for my 1/8 and 1/16 hole punches way more than I thought I would. Having all the colors of paper and ink pads is really nice too. That said I think you must have EVERYTHING!
I agree about the pastels... They are wonderful! I used to think that I didn't want to spend the $25, but hey...you get ALL of the colors. Also, the 1/8 and 1/16 punches for doing eyelets! So easy!I love the All Year Cheer sets, too...The word stamps are wonderful! One more thing, when I first started stamping, I got the Watercolor Garden set. I used it all the time then and still use it a lot now. You can use it for so much and it is great to demo. Hope this is helpful!
I knew that I wanted to be a demo in December but waited till JAnuary for the free set. So I joined some of the supply swaps here (buying one or two items and getting a sampling of all the colors of that item.) It was is a great idea for new demos (and cheaper than buying all of it yourself).
I am working on filling my color supply of paper and inks (I have two color families yet to get (and the ink caddy). I think that will be my discounted order.

All Ribbon
All Eyelets
The Pastels
The Watercolor pencils
Blender pens
All The Markers
All Circle and Square punches
Paper crimper
Dazzling Diamonds
This are the things that I reach for the most when creating. You can create a variety of looks with just these things. I started out slowly collecting all of these things.
the obvious ones, paper, pads, scrub, and cutter, rubber scissors, paper snips...
then aquapainter, tool kit, eyelets, all the ribbons/cord, coluzzle, versamark pad, roller system, reinkers, metallic pads, Pickles and Tickles papers, microbeads and sticky strip...
then the stamps, um...I use Totally Cool, Wonderful Words, All Year Cheers, the list goes on and on
Crystal Effects
Dazzling Diamonds glitter
Gingham Ribbon (grosgrain too)
Eyelets
Buttons
Cord (silver and copper so far...gold's on the next order!)
Stampin' Scrub and Mist (I didn't like it at first but now...can't live w/o it!)
RUBBER SCISSORS (OMG they make mounting stamps so easy!)
Wheels and Handle (love the new wheel guide!!)
Aquapainters

I'll have to think on this one....definately one each of classic inks and paper! Order the ***'t and then stock up on idiv. colors as you run out of them.
A must have...
The paper cutter!!
Crystal Effects
Dimensionals
Snail adhesive
markers
Lots of US White
All the ink pads
Versamark
2-way glue
Black Staz On
Dazzling Diamonds!!!!
A background stamp... My favorite.. .filigree, Canvas and french script
i am not a demonstrator, but i thought alot about it and I stamp ALOT. here is what i would consider to put on a "must have" list...
PAPERCUTTER
VERSAMARK (and reinker- you WILL need it!)
PASTELS
EYELET SETTER
AND/OR 1/8 AND 1/16 HOLE PUNCHES
INKS: BLACK, NNAVY, WHITE (and the other 40+ colors, lol)
BLENDER PEN!!!
MONO AND REFILLS
HEAT GUN AND CLEAR EMBOSSING POWDER
DIMENSIONALS
HANDLE, WHEELS, AND GUIDE
BONE FOLDER!
STAMP CLEANER AND PAD (I did not think it would be worth it, but was one of my best time savers!)
SQUARE HOLE PUNCH
US WHITE AND VELLUM (lots!)
RIBBON: white grosgrain, and wide organdy
STAMPS : A COUPLE WORD SETS:AYC1, WONDERFUL WORDS, SIMPLE SAYINGS 2, A FLOWER SET: WATERCOLOR GARDEN, IN FULL BLOOM, SIMPLE SKETCHES, A CUTE SET, A LEAF SET (can do masculine cards)And a BKG STAM...FRENCH SCRIPT IS THE BEST!
is that a long enough list for you? these should get you started...
GL AND HAVE FUN!
M
Paper cutter
Paper snips
marker set
watercolor pencils
aquapainter (in my opinion, don't waste your time with the blender pens now that the aquapainter hit the scene)
Foam dimensionals
classic black pad
4 assorted CS packs (one from each family - that way you can see what colors papers you use most)
I think those are just the very basic necessary items. Have fun!!!
I agree with saying, "everything in the back of the book!" I have two drawers full of stamp sets, but didn't (for a long time) have anything to do with them. I now have all the markers, all the spots, all the cs. Have now branched into embellishments. Love the quality of our eyelets. I had some others I had before SU and they are not nearly as good. I used all of the hand punches and started buying the others as well (dh is really impressed with the corner punches). Oh, and I heat emboss a lot. Crystal Clear embossing powder, the embossing buddy, the heat tool, and the powder pals are a must!

The only other thing that I would add to that list is my heat gun. It took me a while to get it, but I use it all the time. I also can't do without eyelets, embossing powder, glitter, ribbon, crimper (don't know how I lived w/out that either!), crystal effects, paper cutter, bone folder.....
..........besides the obvious Inks, papers and stamp sets.......
I'd say the AquaPainter. It's great for coloring. I'd also say grosgrain ribbon, dazzling diamonds, a metallic embossing powder and some brads to match.

Along with what everyone else said, I do have another thing to add. The Stamp-a-majig! I put off buying it because I thought I didn't need it, but I love it and I use it all the time, particularly for placing lettering and two-step stampin' sets.
I second or thhird the markers...I cannot express how awesome they are and that they are so worth it! Esp with your demo disc. I cannot remember if you are a brand new demo but if you are I would for sure use your 30% to getthe markers!!! HTH
Definitely the Craft and Rubber Scissors -- they cut through like butter, and when you have a bunch of sets to mount (or a double alphabet) your hands will thank you! At first I didn't think I needed them, but now I can't live without them and think they were worth every penny!
I just got the Stamp-a-ma-jig in my last order, and again I have no idea how I did without it for so long! I was thinking about selling or trading my Terrific Tulips and Hand-Painted Petites sets because lining them up was so darn frustrating, and now I'm keeping them! No more misaligned leaves or stems! I just made my first card with it this morning, and hope to get it into my gallery soon!

Really, though, all the tools & accessories are MUST HAVES in my opinion. It's amazing all the things you can do with just a few stamp sets if you have the right tools and accessories.
My personal faves:
Markers
Pastels
Blender Pens
VersaMark
Ribbon
Brads
What is this about? I've been to a bunch of different threads tonight and in just about every one, this post appears - are you replying to anything or are you trying to spread a little happiness? Not trying to be snarky, just curious...
As for the thread, here's what I'd say -
background stamps (I have Itty Bitty)
white cardstock
black ink
some color medium that "flows" - ink pads, watercolor pencils, etc...

but also:
Sharpie (label your supplies!)
adhesive eraser
self healing mat (I put a sheet of craft foam on top, then a sheet of the grid paper, and it doesn't matter what the table is made of or what is on it--this makes a great stamping surface and defines my working area)

I would have to say that my must haves are the tool kit, the paper cutter, Blender Pen, markers, Stampin' Spots, Sticky Strip, Microbeads, Glitter, Heat & Stick Power, Eyelets, Heat Tool, embossing kit, wheels and wheel guides. Ok, EVERYTHING!!!!
My Must Haves: Everything and more I wish they would put some of that cool stuff in the new catty like twinkling h2o's and different shaped Brads, I could go on but that would be hijacking this thread. (sorry)
