Default Is SCS a Stamping site or an SU site?

I haven't been a member for that long - but I was wondering if this is a stamping site or exclusively an SU site. I have been under the impression that all stamping companies can be represented here. I have seen TAC, CTMH along with many others. Stamping is fun and enjoyable because of the endless possibilities it holds. Variety is the spice of life (or so they say)- This site provides education and resources that are limitless... Like the MAstercard comercial says. . .

25.00$... for an SU stamps set - ...5.00$ for card stock . . .SCS PRICELESS

All stamping....all the time....lol!

Short version: Originally the site WAS started by a Stampin Up demo as a way to communicate with her downline. The site grew bigger, gained more Stampin Up fanatics, grew even bigger. Word spread....

Eventually the site became known for what it is today...the #1 Stamping Site on the web. EVERYBODY comes to play....EVERYBODY's welcome.

The impression was given during the "debate" recently, that this is an SU site.

I wondered this also, when I first found this site. I haven't been around too long, but originally found SCS while searching for Hero Arts samples.

So, although this isn't an SU! site, you know that SU! must stalk this site...it's a great way to keep up with what SU! customers like, want, etc.

From the "about" link at the top
Blogs at Splitcoaststampers

Also, I don't think the impression was ever given that this site is only for demos. A few select demos may choose not to tell their customers about this site, but I think they are the exception. There is a section for demos only, but pretty much everything we could ever want to know is right out in the open. When SU! keeps something demo only on their site, then it should be "demo only" until SU! releases it or says the info is for public release.

I make it a point to let all my customers know about this site! I encourage them to check the gallery. Then they can call me and say, "I saw such and such on SCS and now I NEED that stamp set!"

I am not a demo, and I feel very welcome at this site. Everyone is very willing to help eachother out.

SCS has really inspired me to try out new things. I love this place!

Plus, when the DH is engrossed in his computer games, now I'm engrossed in SCS!!

Isn't SCS great! I'm so glad there are so many non-demos and Non-SU demos here too... It helps me be the best demo I can be! I get some of my best ideas from "the customers"! WELCOME!

I'm a demo and I tell all of my customers about the site because it's so great and inspiring. With that said I like other products and love to see uses for them as well. Welcome to SCS.

What I don't understand is why any one company name needs to be brought up in a conversation like this and does it really even matter if you are a demo or not for any one company?

I really believe we are all here for a reason..........

we love stamping and have been welcomed and blessed to have in oneway or another been welcomed here

should be avoided - it's just not fair to lump demos together like this - we all come to SCS for a variety of reasons and the one we all hold the same is the love for stampin.

how demos run their businesses is up to them as individuals and you just have to leave it at that - as longs as you are happy with your demo!

I love how lots of companies are represented here - just more and more ideas!

SCS is the greatest!! It has helped my demo, because what I see on here I NEED the nest day. So I think it's a great way for a demo to make good sales...SCS have the best of the best in the galleries.

So glad all are welcome! That is what makes SCS great.
In my comment, I was relaying the feelings "some" had been expressed. Clearly, overwhelmingly, the grand majority of people see it as a site for all stampers. That is wonderful to hear.....! Feel even more welcome. YEAH!!

I found this site just recently as well. My demo told me about it. I'd say it was a wise decision too, because this is the biggest group of enablers I've ever seen !

 I am not a demo and since joining last month have felt most Welcomed! I love SU! but also enjoy using stamps/supplies from other companies. The gallery is GREAT and very inspiring!! I always keep in mind that if I don't have the exact set used in the gallery, I can always modify a bit to fit something I might have or at least give me a GREAT excuse to place another order.... I don't know how I managed to make cards for several years without SCS. Ha Ha

Bezzzzzzzzzactly.... ALL about the ideas, I agree.... The more the merrier....

I personally use this site becasue of all the great ideas using SU stuff, cause the majority of stuff I have is SU and I'm a Demo.... We all have different tastes and likes when it comes to making cards and I love all the different ideas and designs...

I've told all my Club members and customers about this site.... I think it's a great site!!!

Well, my demo told me about this wonderful, fantastic #1 site and I thank her profoundly - also buy more stuff that I think I don't like or need when I see a sample of it here. SCS is for ALL stampers - it's just that SU is one of the top companies and the demonstrators know a good website, just as they know a good product. While true you see a lot of SU sets, feel free to use Magenta, Art Impressions, Hero Arts, etc. - I've found all are welcome and commented on! SCS is the best site I've ever seen and I hardly ever visit another. And, not to be long-winded, but if you're new and want to learn quicker, join the daily challenges - great bunch of gals and great ideas! Welcome.

I was introduced to SCS by a some Good Friends of mine, One being by SU Demo (Kaylyn) and the other being a Long Distance Friend (YLM).

Since I have been here I have learned some really cool new Tech's and Made some New Friends.

I am a Demo for one of the other Companies.

But I am a STAMPER first!

From the very first time I joined I felt at home here.
I've learn to stay out of certain Message area's, ones that I feel would get me into trouble.

Thanks SCS for being here for us!!!!!!

Since I discovered SCS, I've seen much more versitility in the stamp sets then in the samples in the catty. It never inspired me like all you girls, I can't believe the things I've been cranking out lately, really impressing everyone that sees it. Thank you all so much, and thank you SCS!!!!!

Smile I LOVE SCS!!

I just had to chime in - when I 1st discovered SCS (by doing an internet search for ideas using the ONE SU set i owned at the time...), i had just discovered stamping. have been scrapbooking for a TINY bit longer than stamping - so am rather new to all this. have learned so much for all the postings in the forums abt products out there like the different eyelet setters and the foam stamps and MM paints!! this site is definitely the reason why i buy so much stuff - thanks to you all (i think... hee hee LOL!!):p

I have a complaint!!!

Well, not really. I started out scrapping with SU, but then after I found this site I love cranking out cards and my scrapbooking is falling behind!

But I have no complaints about the great people here!
