CC803 Whispering to you: Have some Real Cake! (8/4/20)
Hello, Color Lovers! It is my pleasure to be your hostess again this week. Before we get to this week's colors, let's celebrate last week's favorite!
Stef was our hostess, and she chose Mad Thanks by CAKath. Stef said, "I absolutely love how all the pretty variety of foliage frames her sentiment against the ombre magenta background!"
Congratulations, Kathy! The code to add the badge to your blog is attached below, and your card also will be pinned on our Pinterest Challenge board. Check it out here.
And now, on to this week's colors!
Whisper White Real Red Crumb Cake
Did you know that you are always welcome to use the Neutral family from the SU color palette in addition to the challenge colors? You can find those colors here.
For the dessert option this week, let's see at least three layers on your card!
LeAnn aka n2scrappin will be joining us until the end of the year as a guest hostess. We also have Sandie aka sistersandie and Marianne aka lantana joining us as guest designers until the end of the year.
And, for the month of August we also have Kandie aka kemernow. Kandie was our fave from CC737, CC760 and CC800.
Please extend a warm welcome to all four of these fabulous stampers.
Please keep in mind that while SU colors are listed for the challenges, these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!
Please put CC803 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge, use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card.[/FONT]

For today's color challenge I decided to go with a gift bag for Christmas- with 3 layers for dessert. Used a die cut intricate heart from my stash, and added some patterned ornament like paper for my lower border. Found some sparkly red trim, and punched 2 holes in my folded over bag top and threaded some striped flannel through it. My central panel is simply colored with a medium brown with contrasting red for the ornament and mouse's pants. Used a silver sharpie for my tree branch and star. Finished with a hand lettered sentiment block. Here's Hopeful Christmas Mouse

Thank you for the challenge! It took me three tries to make a card I liked, LOL. The Thank You card turned out to be my favorite. It's amazing what a little ribbon can do to a card. You can't see it, but I highlighted some of the vines on the first two with Wink of Stella as well to perk them up a little.
