Hi everyone! I hope your July if off to a great start! It's been super hot where I live, 104 degrees today! My oh my!
I've got a headache tonight, which started earlier this afternoon. I took some medicine, but to no avail, it's getting worse. So I will make this post short and sweet.
I recently began making the new, trendy, slim line cards. The dimensions of the card is one that will fit in a letter sized envelope or a smaller invitation slim line envelope.
I think I've done a challenge in the past of creating something other than an A2, but I figured I'd do it again for those of us who have been wanting to do a slim line, but just haven't done it yet. If you don't want to do a slim line card, pick any other sized card to make other than an A2.
I had a bridal shower to go to recently, right after I had gotten my new slim line dies I ordered off of Pink Fresh Studio. So I used the dies to make this card:

The stamp set is from The Ton, the layering morning glories set, the alpha dies from The Greetery, and the banner die from Pink Fresh. I put what the bride to be's new last name will become, to personalize it.
If you haven't checked out the layering stamps from The Ton that Effie created recently, I suggest if you'd like to see something really ingenious, that uses our beloved MISTIS, to check her out. The stamps have multiple florals or leaves, on one big stamp, that stamp at the same time, then a die that cuts them all out at the same time. This makes layering easier and also diecutting a cinch.
I can't wait to see your designs and I hope you enjoy my card. The bride loved it. **Also: The prize for July will be a NEW MISTI 2.0 ORIGINAL SIZE!!!!!!! Yahoo!
Happy July!! Stay safe and healthy!

Hello, MISTI Monday and everyone else. I am so sorry you are suffering with a headache. I do hope it is not anything serious and disappears quickly. I am so excited over our new prize! You are so kind and generous. Thank you. Putting on my thinking cap...
FYI: I can't see your card yet...HAPPY STAMPING! everyone!
This size is growing in me. I may make another that is not as complicated. I used my Spellbinders Hot Foil Press machine and I am still learning. My die is quite foiled as I had it backwards several time, even with the manual and watching videos. It is beautiful when I get it correct.

I don't see your card either...do you have a gallery MISTI Monday that you could post it there?
Hope the headache has gone away...my solution usually works...drink 16 ounces of room temperature water and rest for 20 minutes.
I will enjoy making this card...I have enjoyed making several of late in different sizes and I just the saw the video today of the new 2.0...thus I was reminded that I hadn't searched for the July challenge.

Watched a couple videos on slim line cards...I've enjoyed making them over the years as many years ago at a stamp show customers were given packets of silver legal size envelopes when we entered!
Who would have thought companies would begin making dies for slim line cards? WOW...I am not looking...I can cut a rectangle.
I do want the 2.0 MISTI...how long can I wait?

Beautiful card Misti! Great challenge, too! I've been making a lot of larger cards these days. It's fun to step outside the A2 box! LOL What a great prize this month! Excited to play...summer is so busy with my granddaughters. They love to craft too. Future Misti users!

Here is my card that is not an A-2 size. I make this size for my brother's thank you cards. He sends so many that he likes to use a regular letter size envelope. I used my MISTI to stamp my sentiment.
I use my Misti almost every time I stamp and am so thankful it gives me the opportunity for "do-overs" when I don't get quite as complete/crisp of an image as I want.
Another benefit is when I stamp with lighter colors (like the moon on my card). It is good to be able to stamp repeatedly to get a more vibrant color. Please check out my card - HERE.

Actually anything that isn't an A2 card...which A2 cards are the Imperial measurement (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) which I don't know what that is in Australian but I do know it is different! (I watch Kylie Bertucci on youtube!)
My card is going to be 6"x7", it will fit in a regular old fashion letter envelope.
So do something that is not your standard card size.

Thanks everyone for the specifications! Mystery solved. I’ll give it a go.
And to FayeMakesCards: Hi to your Brisbane cousin. ️ Australia is pretty big, Once we drove non stop 3+ days to get across to the other side to visit relatives. When we were young and foolish.
Here is the card I made that is non-A2. I am mailing the card to my friend Melanie who has been told there are no more treatment options for her ovarian cancer.
