Sue Ellen, I have done the oven. It didn't really work for me. I flip my plates after every cut, if I can remember. Make one plate only for cutting the blade against and the other for holding the blade in place. I have seen videos were some people label the plates so they know which one goes on the bottom and is cut against, and which is on top. There are a lot of threads here where people are talking about using the quilting product, like you would cut with a rotary cutter, self healing pads, for replacing the plates in the Big Shot or any machine where you cut thin dies. I will look for the thread and post here.
