Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: peeps321/Polly
CHALLENGE: If you're like me you have quite a supply of ribbon and washi tape just waiting to be used on a card. This is the week! You may use either or both (extra cookies!). Here are a couple of ideas I found to inspire you.
CARD TYPE/THEME:Thinking of You, Uplifting, Sunshine, Encouragement
Miss Boo (Jen) brought this week’s teaparty recipient, Robin, to our attention. Unfortunately, Robin has had to start chemo again – it’s been years since her last round. Jen says Robin is naturally optimistic, but life has thrown her difficult and stressful situations over the last few years and she just seems tired and not her perky self. That’s our cue, teapotters…lets make some paper love to help perk Robin back up! She loves dogs and nature and her favorite color is turquoise.

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.

So happy to be back at the teaparty. This is the first card I've posted in 2020. (We relocated to a new state this year. I packed up my craft supplies in January expecting to move soon, but there were delays both with the house we purchased and the one we sold. We ended up moving months after we expected to.) But the important thing: here's my card.

As for this card, it's for my daughter and her sweetie who recently moved into a new home. I didn't realize Robin needed some cheering up. I'll get back to the play table and make her a "pretty."
my card---made it finally----- as son sold his house, family moved in with me and he had to go to Missouri due to GM closing here in Ohio---they did not ever think their house would sell the day they put it on the market and no house yet in Missouri so I went from just me to his wife and 3 kids 2 of whom are 3 and 6 so my time is no longer my time til they go to bed---LOL Puppy Love by donnajeanne - at Splitcoaststampers
Yesterday, Robin received the first bunch of cards! She was delighted! Not only did it make her happy, it made her daughters happy. One is taking care of her. One doesn't live in the same state. Robin took a picture and sent it by text to... I don't know how many people. . Shortly thereafter, I received an all caps thank you from her youngest daughter in Pennsylvania.
Thank you so much, ladies! Now that I figured out how to get a picture by text to here on this post...

I don't see my card but from France it will take a bit longer I think, I'm glad we could bring a smile on her face and make her daughters happy in the same time.
you gave us the right destination for a TEAparty Jen.
I did not have washi tape or ribbon to match the preferred color, so I made my own strips using WW Cardstock and various EF. I added some Wink of Stella to make them pop. Good thing I had cut enough supplies for two cards because I accidentally made the Teapot card a Happy Birthday card instead of well wishes. That's what happens when your memory fades in exactly 10 seconds, LOL!
I am playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking. As I am late to the party, this card is for an SCS friend's January birthday with ribbon, a bow, and the color turquoise per challenge notations.
