Happy Thursday! Carla, here as this week’s Ways to Use It hostess. Show me some Sand & Surf to celebrate summer or your dream of summer if you’re down under!
Be sure to include both sand and surf in your card. You can use images, techniques and/or textures. For surf, any technique using water will work. For sand, I found the Sanded Pencil Background and Sanding paper. I'm sure there's more!
When you've finished your creation, upload your card with the keyword WT798 and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card. It's especially appreciated by the hostesses!!
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Here's the link for our WT798 gallery. Take a look and spread some love around by leaving comments for your fellow crafters!
Big thanks to the team for their lovely samples. See my next post for a link to the sample thumbnails and my card.
Antique linen is the only distress embossing powder I have ever owned, and it makes great sand but I didn't get to use it on this. I'll shoot for making another card over the weekend, maybe. I need to bring the beach to me since I'm not there now.
Awesome challenge today, although it reminds me that I have to wait another year for a cruise vacation since our recent one was cancelled!! Counting down the days!

For both today's music and yesterday's sand and sky challenges I made this card, adding texture with dry embossing. Fussy cut my musician, using my blender pen to give her dress a streaky appearance. Used a paper doily for her frame, and added a aqua bow with pearl center. Finished with a sentiment block, propped up on dimensionals. Here's F4A540 WT798 Harmony

I would like to spend some time on a beach right now as it has been so hot, but the beaches are packed despite Covid19 and there are no facilities open! This is as close as I am going to get
