Hi! Welcome to the third week of Watercolor Wednesdays! Kia, Linda, Brenda and I have loved seeing your art projects over the past few weeks!
This week our challenge is going to be to add unexpected or unrealistic color to our focal point. I have included Lydia's step by step video for you to follow. It's so soothing to watch Lydia paint. Not only are Lydia's paintings beautiful but she gives wonderful painting tips as she goes!
In case there is any trouble with the video.
Choose an image.
Watercolor the image in mostly usual colors but add little pops of UNEXPECTED or UNREALISTIC color. My sample is below. I colored the pup in colors that you would usually expect a pup to be but I added touches of Peacock Feathers Ink to my pup! I followed Lydia's color combo fairly closely but your pop of unrealistic color can be any color so long as you would not normally see the image in your unexpected color.
I hope you have lots of fun and I cannot wait to see your watercolor projects!
Hi, everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful week! We are still having a few little issues so I don't want to edit the challenge post but I do want you to be able to find Lydia's gorgeous card so here is a link to the card she created for her video.

ha ha....this turned out to be fun. My highlight color is supposed to be orange but somehow i think the purple ends up being the highlight. It doesn't matter as it's all creative. It made me smile when I was finished. FROGGIES
