I use crystal glaze products for areas on my stamped projects but I have a few places where I just want a little shine (not shimmer or glittery). I tried using a little paint brush dipped in a small puddle of glaze but it comes out splotchy. Is there a product out there that allows you to just add a super thin layer of shine in a very tiny area?
"Most" glazes are water based. You might try to thin it out then use the brush, or even a tiny bit on a palette knife. I also "tap" the card on my work surface when done-it helps to let the glaze, crystal effects or what you are using to settle in a bit. Good luck!
I think different people define shine and shimmer and sparkle differently, so I could be off track, but when I’m looking for glass-like shine, even on something tiny, Glossy Accents does the trick.
I also use a lot of Wink of Stella, but consider that shimmer, not shine.

Have you tried a toothpick to "drop" the glaze onto the area and then the leveling technique someone else mentioned (tapping project onto the worksurface)?
Thank you everyone. I am going to try all these methods and see what works best for me. Yesterday I played with an old Ranger Perfect Medium pen and dabbed it around the area then sprinkled clear embossing powder on it and it worked. However, it wasn't nearly as smooth and shiny as I had hoped for. Thanks again.
I like Sakura Glaze pens too, just don’t think of them in the same category as glass-like smooth glossiness like Ranger’s Glossy Accents. Both great, just different.
Adding a titch of water to a tiny dab on the side and using the skinniest of brushes (eye liner brush?) is how I'd approach it.

My fav gloss is Nuvo Crystal Glaze. It never bubbles & comes out easy. For super tiny areas I have to use a toothpick, but works right out of the bottle for die cut words which I do a lot.

I really like the Sakura glaze pen. The first layer won't look to shiny, but you can add multiple layers to get the embossed look. Be sure to let it dry between layers.

I love my Nuvo Crystal Glaze but mine has gotten very thick. Is there a way to thin it?
I have added a little water to my Aleene's paper glaze when it got thicker

Thanks for the info. Wasn't sure if I could do that. However, some of my glaze products are pretty much dried up. I keep buying Glossy accents and it always dries up on me. I guess I could try to add a bit of hot water to see if it will loosen up a bit. Can't hurt to try. 😉
