Hello May Scrappers! I hope you have some mojo going this month with all our VSBN challenges, and the Stash Buster Challenge! So here is some more inspiration for you!
I have been watching some scrapbook videos and I am wanting to try a new to me technique as far as scrapbooking goes. I wish I had some 12x12 watercolor paper! I didn’t even know they had it! So, do what you can because our technique challenge this month is to watercolor on your layout! I haven’t done mine yet , but am itching to start!
Challenge. Use any kind of watercolor on your layout!
I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

That is a new challenge for me, too. I have used watercolor paper that is pre-designed, but haven't tried it with my own paints. Not even sure I have any watercolor paints, so I will have to raid my daughter's craft box and see what she has. Do you know if all types of watercolors are photo safe, or only ones specifically created to use in scrapbooks?
Watercolor pencils, or crayons, or watercolor with inks. I don’t know the answer to if watercolor is safe with photos, but it is a technique many are using, I have watercolors, and color bursts powders, which is what I was thinking of using. I am going to look for some thick 12x12 CS in my stash.
Wonderful challenge Sharon! I have been wanting to get into this and just recently bought a 12 x 12 pad of watercolor paper from Hobby Lobby. I'm so excited to play now.

Thanks for the encouragement to play with my watercolors, I started out on my 12x12 sheet with a plan. Then, once the background was done I changed photos and made it for Jovy's album instead. Anyway, it was fun. Pool Time with his Doggie by AnniePanda - at Splitcoaststampers

Thank you , Kan, Joyce Ann, and Amy for playing the Technique Challenge. All are great pages, and all so different! I think that is what I like about challenges, the way each page is unique, but inspired by some main element.
