MIX382: Find Your Way (5/22/2020)
Title: Find Your Way
Hostess: Scrapacat (Ky)
Keyword: MIX382
Welcome to another Friday! You made it! How are you holding up with this new normal that changes every hour? Our resources change, our mask requirements change, our staying-home changes... I admit, I'm a bit lost and am trying to find my way through every day.
That's where our art comes in. We can still touch people with our art. We can send a hug in the mail. We can use our art to document our thoughts and struggles, or rejoice in even the smallest thing. That's what art does! Isn't it great?
Challenge: Consider how you are finding your way. I'm struggling to keep up the daily practice, and you might be too. Pull out your stencils and use them as a template to find your way to a finished project - cards, tags, art journals, whatever sparks you. Then come share it here!
Remember to use two or more mediums on your card. See a list of suggested materials here.
Make sure to put MIX382 in the keyword section.
I used stencils from Dylusions and A Colorful Life designs. I paired them with crackle paste and simple pen tracings. I used pencils for shading, and white gel pen for accents. Now it's YOUR TURN!

I have started mine but did a lot of gloop on my stenciled background so it will have to probably dry all day. I will come back after work or in the morning to finish it up. LOVE this challenge! Thanks for your inspiration!

A new-to-me stencil technique that I've wanted to try for some time. The bonus of working from home today meant that I got as far as leaving the Glossy Accents to dry before I had to go downstairs. The negative is that the sunlight is just at the wrong place for me to be sure I have the colours looking true in the upload, so I may be back to edit it later. I used chalk pastels and Polychromos pencils as my main mediums.

Here’s my card. Hope it meets the mixability requirements - I used dye ink, pigment ink & a chalk writer. I thought the sentiment was appropriate for the current times! LOL!

Adding a scrapbook page for this week's MIX challenge. I do enjoy doing these mixability challenges and need to get back in the swing of them. Thanks!

Thanks, Ky, for inspiring us to get our art out in the world.
I am good about committing my prompts to paper, but not so
good about finishing.
Here's my finished feminine dressmakers

As usual, I was confused...I thought using stencils was just an option, not the challenge. Fortunately I looked at the gallery and was set to rights. I used three stencils, this is also for the IC, the F4A and the CC. I usually find the way by 1)using colors I love 2) digging through my newer stuff 3) just beginning, making it up as I go. Wisconsin is opening up, little by little, and I'm very nervous.

I am working toward my "Challenge Catch-Up" goal! This card is for an Alpha friend who needs a Hug! and is the Teapot recipient for the week of 7.5.22.
My card was made with my homemade die-cut stencil from the lacy flower bouquet in Artistic Dies by Stampin' Up. My mediums are: dye-based ink (brushed ink-blending), Copic marker (pearl coloring), fabric (metallic ribbon), computer ink (Chatterbox verse inside/ computer prep), glimmer paper (glittery).
Here is my card: Hugs for Kandie!
