Hey all you cool cats and kittens! This week's Tea Party guest of honor loves cats and flowers and her favorite color is green. My challenge to you is to make a card with cats on it and cool colors.

Chrissy aka DancesWith Hooves brought this week's teaparty recipient, Jean, to our attention. Sadly, Jean's husband, Robert, passed away suddenly in mid-March. It was completely unexpected and Jean is having a hard time trying to adjust to her new life. Chrissy knew she could count on the teapotters to help ease Jean's heartache with some paper hugs. Let's let Jean know we're thinking about her. She likes cats and flowers and her favorite color is green.

Thanks for the lovely challenge ideas Jen. I did use "green" and whilst red is a warm colour, I did a blue-based red, hope that counts. Chrissy I hope our cards help your friend.
Thank you all so, so much for doing this for Jean! My eyes are full of happy tears right now. She is the kindest person you will EVER meet, and she will be so happy to find handmade cards in her mailbox! She lives alone, in the country, and as you can imagine the present circumstances make the situation even harder for her.
These cards will be a complete surprise for her, but she talks with my mother regularly (who is a cardmaker and aware of this Teaparty), so when the cards start showing up, mom will clue her in a little.

Everyone, I had the chance to see Jean in person today (first time since last fall!), and she brought all your cards with to show off. ☺️ She is so, so grateful to each and every one of you. Your cards have arrived after the sentiments from others close to her had since died off, and really helped her in her gradually beginning to adjust to what life looks like after her husband’s passing. She cannot believe the love, thoughtfulness, and time you have each poured into your paper hugs for her, and the special extras some of you so generously included have her just about speechless.
THANK YOU, each of you, for doing so much for Jean!
