Hello ladies! How was your Aprils? Well, mine was pretty boring, but I have really enjoyed just staying home and not running here and there. Anyone else feel blessed to have to stay home? Or is it just me?
I've been making a lot of cards and it's made me so, so happy. Does your card making mojo come and go? For years I made a lot, then for years I just made a few. So far, since Christmas of last year, I've really started enjoying it again SO MUCH! I think the companies I love are really brining beautiful supplies for me to create with.
One of my newer favorite companies is The Greetery. Betsy Veldman used to be with Papertrey Ink, but started her own company. I think I have 99% of her entire collection.
I used one of her new stamp sets, Fresh Air, and it's matching dies for this card we're using for the month of May. This set reminds me that summer is almost here! The one thing that inspires me is the curtain flowing through the window. I just love the first time it's warm enough to open the doors and windows and let the sunshine in. This card is me fantasizing of summer and window flowers.
I used the MISTI for 100% of my stamping. Those tiny potted plants were 6 layers of stamping! I could NEVER have gotten this type of result with stamping by hand. NEVER. I fall in love even deeper with the MISTI every time I use it.
I got a black one from Hero Arts this past month and it's so sleek! I'm hoping the new MISTI 2.0 will be releasing this month. I'm gonna get me both the Original and Mini MISTI. Anyone else as excited as I am?
For this month's challenge, I'd like you to make a peek-a-boo card with a summer theme. See how my window die cut peeks through to the inside of the card? Use a die to create a window in your card(s).
I hope to see lots of entries this month! I don't know about you, but I'm making lots of cards!

I have never made a peek-a-boo card. I'll google it and see what comes up. I too want to find out what the new MISTI has in store for us. I need to order the 12 x 12 one. I scrapbook and don't want to miss the opportunity of having one.
I was too busy on Monday doing birthday fun with myself! You only turn 62 once in your life and with stay-at-home happening there wasn't much excitement.
I don't think I've done peek-a-boo cards...and Sally thank you for the link...I'll go check it out for the fun of May.

Mine is a pretty simple window card. I think it's fun to see part of the image through the window. I used my MISTI to line up and stamp the image and the sentiment.
Is the challenge for the peek a boo card for May, or was it for April? Was that the winner for April? The challenge directions say it must be uploaded by April 30. But, it wasn’t posted until May 4th. Hence, the confusion. I love your peek a boo card, though! It’s beautiful!

Hi Barb, Welcome! I am not Misti Monday, but maybe can answer your question. The peek-a-boo is for May. She usually performs a cut-and-paste on the challenge write-up, and was probably in a hurry. The deadline will be the last day of May, which is May 31, as it is the last day of each month.

I’m new to challenges, though I’ve been on this site for years. What is the month’s keyword? Is that the title?
For all the challenges, there is a unique keyword which may be used to preface your own title but which must be used in the keyword field of your upload in order for your card to appear in the challenge gallery. Effectively, challenge galleries are the result of a search for the keyword.

Hey, there. Glad you're joining in. I don't want to complicate anything. You can leave the main gallery and sub-gallery blank for now if you want. The card will post to your gallery. What is important, in order to get it to the right challenge gallery, is the keyword. You want to use MSP33

I found your inside card. I saw the outside earlier, but it is not there right now. It is a lovely card and it took a lot of work. The challenge code is correct and it shows up with the other cards submitted to the challenge. Great work!

Tomorrow is June. I don't know about you, but May has been one of the hardest months I can remember. I have been struggling. But, luckily, I have a hobby I can escape to. Buying craft supplies. I mean making cards....laughing.
I hope you are all doing well, are healthy, safe and in good spirits.
This month's challenge brought out some very beautiful cards in the MSP33 gallery. Thank you to all who participated. I see there was some issue loading photos in the gallery. I'm sorry I didn't see the messages until now. I've been staying off the internet a lot, except for a Facebook group I admin. I just can't take the headlines any longer. Plus, I've been extremely busy at work and I have 3 kids who are graduating and going in three different directions.
Hopefully we can get the issues taken care of for June. If you are still having problems uploading photos, please leave a comment here. I'll check the post again tomorrow when I post the new June challenge.
So, the WINNER this month is lovinpaper's Butterfly Window card! What a beautiful, beautiful entry. All your cards really put a smile on my face.

craftybarbm, I think you were having trouble seeing your card with the other window cards because it was Sunday. To post on a Sunday, you need to be a Fan Club member, otherwise, approval is needed. I figured that out later in the evening. Next challenge, post before the end of the month and make sure it is not a Sunday, then we can all see it. It is a gorgeous card! Thank you for sharing it. Can't believe you did not have a die. It looks to be a perfect cut.
