Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: Shoe Girl/Lisa
CHALLENGE: A fun way people have referred to dancing is called Cutting Up the Dance Floor. Our destination this week loves to dance especially contra dancing. This brought me to thinking how can we cut up on our cards....Use Scissors. This weeks challenge is to use scissors on our cards. You can fussy cut, cut a fun edge with decorative scissors...the sky is the limit just USE SCISSORS. I can't wait to see how you use scissors on your cards.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Comfort, Thinking of You, Hello
Today’s teaparty request comes from Pat aka contrapat. Sadly, our recipient, Katherine, is battling Stage 4 inoperable central nervous system Neuroblastoma. We hate to hear that Katherine is fighting this battle and hope that some happy mail can offer a little comfort. Katherine has two little ones (ages one and a half yrs. and 7 months). She loves dancing, especially contra dancing, and recently celebrated a birthday (March .

Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.
Thank you for hosting this Party Lisa and thank you for the fun challenge here's my card which has certainly already found destination because I've send it before the lock down
Scissors weren't coming together for me for the sort of card I wanted to make, so I just went bright and happy with a stamp that was on my desk waiting to be used.
Just put in three hours of work and I need a break from the screen, I'll be back to comment later.
Heart breaking story about today's teapot recipient. My prayers go out to her entire family. I wanted to include Katherine love of music in my card along with the Goethe saying as I'm sure with 2 babies NOTHING means more to her that each day she can be with them!
Lisa, great challenge on cutting (umbrella) is what is cut.

I will get a card in the mail by tomorrow... not sure what I'll make yet. Prayers to her and her family to stay strong. So difficult especially at this time of COVID-19. My son is in the hospital (he's 40 - had a seizure) and it's hard to not be able to be with him. Stay safe everyone...
How sad about Katherine...can't imagine. Lisa, the pics you found for cookies and teapots are amazing. How do most of the team find those pics? I've struggled with that part of it.

I'll be back to comment after I walk to the post box to get this card on it's way.
Yes. That sort of thing is just so heartbreaking. We had a friend who used to stay with us when she was single and going through treatment for breast cancer. She later got married, but sadly had secondary cancer during her second pregnancy. She was never even able to physically lift Amy, but the few months she did have with her were precious indeed.
Thank you for the opportunity to make a card for someone special. I was trying to find dancing images and this one just seemed to fit. I fully can relate to the joy in dancing as I used to reenact the American Civil War and I loved dancing the Virginia Reel at events. It is a special moment. Will be praying for Katherine. dancing under the moonlight by bgpunky - at Splitcoaststampers

I'm playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking and finished my Father's Day cards as well with this catch-up.
For the challenge, I've fussy-cut the yellow-gold frame off the pseudo-baseball card provided in the kit and re-matted it with Seattle Mariners team colors.
