I thought that this week we would revisit stamping with bubble wrap, which featured as TLC648 - you can check that challenge out HERE. Back then I had a couple of suggestions including sprinkling it with Brushos or Colorburst powders, or wrapping a piece around an old stamping wheel (or block). You can use any ink pads to ink it up, or acrylic or gouache paints if you prefer. I like to brayer the paint thinly onto a non-stick sheet and then pick it up from that with the bubble wrap. I'm also going to suggest using it on gel prints as another possibility. For one of my cards, I used it with water, rather than ink, to lift colour from a sponged background.
I'm sure that with extra mail order deliveries at the moment, most of us can lay our hands on some bubble wrap! I was hoping to find some of the jumbo wrap I know I have - but while the 19-year old who was living with us is now safely back with his family, half his stuff is still in our spare room until the travel restrictions are lifted, and the cupboard where my surplus packing supplies are stored is still somewhat inaccessible.
Remember to use the keyword TLC790 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
Hi Sabrina,
I played your bubble wrap challenge today, but Dirty Girl that I am, decided to save it for May's Fan Club and get a head start. You put so much thought, time, talent and hard work into your challenges that I'm sure you always hope for lots of players. Just wanted you to know that there was at least one more having a good time because of you.
Have to run to work but will be back at lunch to check out all the cool stuff in the gallery!
Hugz
