Scrappin' Challenge 2020Can you believe this is our 12th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?!
We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2019 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2020! Let's keep scrappin'. It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2020! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops... What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process!
Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. *In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us. You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends. Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2020 Scrapbook Challenge!
Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends! We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc20apr"

I only have one sheet of photo paper left so I am going to try printing the photos on paper and not glueing anything so that when we are allowed out I can re print the photos to finish my pages, I will take a photo so I can join in as it might be a while.before I can get out.
They are saying over here not to send mail unless essential, they have stopped sending out electricity and water bills for two months, our payment was still taken by direct debit yesterday though, ha, ha,
Crafting-est month ever for me, haha, or at least in a very long time. 25 scrapbook pages and 18 cards! Hooray! I did lay out a double page yesterday for one of the VSBN challenges, but I didn't get it put together. That is okay- I am hoping to do a bunch more the next two weeks for sure too. Maybe as long as we're quarantined, I just don't have the school work issue next week for Spring Break. LOL.
Goal of 10 for March, did 25. Setting a goal for 20 in April! No idea how the end of school will go, but still hoping to have school pages done by graduation!!

2024 Scrapping Goals: March 8/12; Feb: 6/15; 2024: 35/125
Hey Joyce Ann, I am at 26 layouts YTD too! I managed 12 layouts for March but not sure how it's going to go for April with the kids and hubby being at home the whole month, so I will set 10 as my goal for April.
Adjusting to the new normal around here took it's toll on my crafting space/time so I only got about 6 pages done out of the 8 that I set for myself but getting into a new routine so I'm setting my goals for April at 10 - 5 pages for Mr1 & 5 Pages for Mr7
I'm also setting a spending freeze in April - no spending (with the one exception of adhesives if necessary)
I have lost track of so much since this move and not sure when I will get back on track. I am scrapping tho even if slowly. Being out in the country now and with a stay at home order in place and with a husband that can’t travel anyway I don’t have anything to do but walk around the grounds organize all the stuff we moved and scrap. All I need now is the Mojo to do it!
For April I will set my goal at 10 pages I will have to check back to see what I have done year to date and post that.
Heck at the moment I can’t even remember if I set a yearly goal?? At this stage it does not really matter as long as I keep scrapping and I will just go with a monthly goal.
Phew what a week...I started with VSN and up for 20 hours straight last Saturday and then ended up in bed with chronic headaches and sinusitis for a few days. Since then I’ve been doing jigsaw puzzles and exercise with DH and via YouTube...there’s some great exercises for seniors on there even though I’m only 29 *wink*.
I’ve also done a couple more VSN cards and hope to finish those up this weekend.
I am going to keep going with March challenges I missed for scrapping and also this month. I have no idea how many pages I did and not sure I met my goal but I enjoyed what I did.
I am still scrapping ladies...10 more for me this month.
Enjoy. Hugs

Yay! It was a lazy morning ... last night I got "hooked on a book" I was reading and stayed up to finish it. It's ok, no where to go today and house stuff is done.
I still have some VSN Challenges to finish if I'm going to get them all done. I have 2 more scrap pages laid out on my desk right now so I'm off to work on one of those ...
Turn up the music, let the creativity begin
scrap on Sisters!

After a slow start to the year I got 21 done in March. So YTD is 21.
Goal for April I'm going to set at 25 and try to push myself a bit.
I have been blessed with getting the opportunity to work at home doing some telemedicine work for the next few weeks which will also mean I get to go back to my part time hours of 3 days a week that had gotten stretched back up to nearly full time every week for the past several months. Keeps me out of the hospital setting which is perfectly fine with me right now.
Cheryl...you asked about my printing pics. I have a photo printer that I use at home and I also use Shutterfly. I just checked their website and it doesn't say anything about not shipping right now that I could find. Hope that helps.
Lela, what was the book called? I like recommendations.
Well I have been trying to catch up on VSN cards and had a craft FaceTime with a few ladies, including our dear Sharon. What a hoot that was to finally see and hear her. Sharon, you are amazing and there’s no way you are in your 70s. Was such fun. I can’t believe how long we were in the call lol....no I can....especially when I’m on it and a bunch of ladies..lol.
I have a tickle card to complete...why do I do this to myself...and then I’m scrapping. I have a lot of catching up to do and nowhere to go...whoohoo. Our PM says we might be in isolation for up to 6 months....suits me fine. If I didn’t have to go and do food shopping every 7-10 days I wouldn’t be in contact with anyone except my DH. Not a lot has changed for us really and I’m probably more organised now I’m not able to go anywhere.
Keep well ladies and have fun

Jayne, we've been using online ordering for groceries. Not sure if they have it where you are, but it's so handy to place an order at a website and have it brought right to our door, so all we have to do is bring it in and unpack it, then toss out the packaging and scrub our hands. Speaking of hands, I posted a layout for the VSBN #Stay Home challenge:
I got 15 pages done for March. That puts my YTD at 49. I'm going to set my April goal as 5.
This homeschooling thing is kicking my trash. My two teenagers have commandeered my SB room as their work place and if I leave anything out they just put their work on top of it and then elements get stuck to their books and lost. Plus I have 5 more kids from middle school down to I have help them with their lessons as well. My sweet 5 year old with Down Syndrome isn't getting any of her therapies right now so I also have to spend a lot of time working with her.
As a result I haven't been able to scrap very much these last two weeks. Maybe I can claim a spring break day all to myself and work and make the teenagers watch the babies. Who knows. Crazy times.

And I thought I had it tough managing four kids' schoolwork through distance learning! Wow, I don't know how you do it.

When you say.."I don't know how you do it." Know this. It's not going well...I have to laugh or I'll cry. This time in our lives will make for good stories,in a few years, but we're not churning out any Nobel prize winners right now.
Hi Cheryl we do have online ordering but they’ve closed it down as they can’t cope with deliveries. The last time we looked they were 2-3 weeks out. I will recheck it again. I’d much prefer our food delivered. We did have takeaway the other evening and they left it on the doorstep. Worked a treat.
Happy Monday..keep well everyone. It’s 32 degrees here..just beautiful. I came to sit outside but now am too hot...back indoors and time to seize the rest of the day before dinner time. Hugs

Today my DH did a maths lesson via FaceTime with our DGS to give our DIL a break as our son works away but he is home today for a few weeks so will give her a break. It’s tough. Hang in there.
Sharen, maybe we need to try a FaceTime with this group too and a chat/scrapping session. It sure helps and is fun. Sending hugs to you all

Andy, sending hugs! And prayers! You have a full plate. I do hope your “bigs” help you out with the “littles”, so you can have some much deserved scrappy time!
So Jayne have you gone to an Ozzie accent or still native Uk, I will have to remember the American names for stuff as most people in the USA do t have a clue what we are talking about,
The kids' schools decided to get serious about distance learning this week since the kids will not be going back to school this year. I feel like I've been running since I got up this morning, and I still am not sure I have a handle on all they have to do. Was hoping to get in some scrapping time but I will be lucky to do more than pick a few papers to go with my photos. Welcome to my new reality! Sigh . . .
So I put a Shutterfly book together over the weekend... It was a total pain, LOL! I thought it would be quicker than digi scrapping and uploading my pages and I'm not sure it was. It was difficult for me to remember how the website worked, even from page to page, LOL. But I earned a "free" book so I thought it would be nice, ha. I'll stick with what I know!
I did upload one page for the VSBN and I'm hoping to get another done tonight. Grade 5
Finally, I made my son's graduation announcement, even tho we have absolutely no idea what it will look like. We bought the traditional Jostens fold outs with the school info, but we wanted a photo too. After our photo shoot, there was no choosing "a photo" so this is what I put together.

Have any April Challenges been posted? I haven’t posted the technique challenge, because it goes in a strange place and no one can find it. Maybe, I will post it in this thread! I will be back.

That looks great. I hope graduation goes on as normal. He's a good looking kiddo!

Running all day is exhausting. I know that you are probably rocking this school thing. We're on lunch break right now and I am literally hiding on the side of my bed between the bed and the wall becuase my kids can't see me there. . I'm not getting much scrapping done, but I am getting little things done, especially when I have to listen to the kids read out loud. (My first grader has obscene amounts of out loud readings.
Thank you volunteer moms at the schools who did that all year) I've already unmounted 14 stamp sets and remounted them with cling foam. So even though school is rough I am getting small tasks done that I have been putting off. So I will count that as a blessing.
I have two minutes until lunch is over, so thanks for all the hugs. We're plugging along taking it a day at a time. Everybody who has the time, scrap an extra page for me! Next week is spring break and I'm taking a day for myself and I'll do some scrapping then.
Hi Everyone
I'm late joining the party and hope it is alright.
With Shelter in Place, I have actually located my Craft Closet and am ready to get scrapping.
I have to have all supplies out of the room to scrap before hubby sets up to Zoom teach his music students. This will be a challenge in its self.
I'm setting my goal low for this month 10 pages. Really hope to do more.
Some will be very simple as they are just larger photos.
I had to laugh when you talked about putting a Shutterfly book together thinking it would be faster than digital. It does play havoc on a site when you can’t remember how it works that’s what I’m having trouble with at the moment on split coast and using my iPhone only. Everything looks so much different on a small screen as compared to a computer screen.
Your graduation announcements look nice well better than nice they look terrific I love that photo of him down the railroad tracks with the old watering tower. A handsome young man and want to be proud of I’m sure.
This shelter in place has a lot of people headed to the craft room’s and getting creative a good way of passing the time and alleviating some of the stress of the unknown.
I will have to take a look at some of the challenges to see what I can work in to my repertoire here this week plus I have to figure out how I can upload to my gallery using my iPhone. Another new adventure!!!
