I am the medical assistant for a doctor who visits nursing homes exclusively. There is a Director of Nursing (DON) in one of our buildings had decided on her own to shelter in place. She has moved into the facility to better help the residents. Nurses are quitting or simply not showing up to work, so she is picking up the slack. I am so impressed and grateful that she is willing to do this that I want to create a special card for her.
I've been staring at paper and stamps and can't seem to find the inspiration I need to begin. I'd like help coming up with the perfect card for this special DON. Any ideas you could share would really help me. Do I use a "Thank you" or "Grateful" stamp? Do I use flowers, butterflies, or something else? Help!
Thanks for the idea. I'm pretty sure she likes Starbucks. I could get her a card and write that inside. It is beautiful. What do I put on the outside, though.

If the digi choices don't work for you, my suggestion is to find an appropriate sentiment for a focal point against a cheerful patterned paper. If you don't have a stamp, print it onto cardstock.
I like the idea of butterflies, because one day this week I was participating in a work related video conference and the presenter said that right now we are all staying safe in our own cocoons. When this is over, we will emerge from our cocoons.
How lucky for everyone to have such a wonderful person in their lives! When you see her again, no matter when that will be, tell her she's got some new "friends" out here in cyberspace.
Thank you so much. I have three of the sets, but not the female nursing one as it's always out of stock. I love that the company is allowing these images to be used.
Personally I would just use my favorite floral stamp set and colors to make a card. Nurses and doctors don't necessarily need to get a card with a nurse or doctor on them.
Write a nice message inside and it will be appreciated.
Use the digi hero set, it is perfect and fitting. Nurses would appreciate the image, I would love this if I was on the front lines of this pandemic. (retired nurse )
Digis are also quick to produce, market, and download. Rubber stamps that are made with a vulcanizer need to have plates manufactured first, etc.
Here's an explanation of the process. Behind the Scenes - How a Rubber Stamp is Made
I get that. Just sad I cant do those. Well maybe later they will convert to rubber. I think people will be (should) grateful a LONG time. Sadly some people dont survive totally "clean"-they may have permanent heart damage. :(

I just mailed a card to my doctor and his staff. It was using a flower die and markers and I think it looked pretty good. If you would send me the address for her and her name I could duplicate it fairly quickly since the design and colors are still in my mind. The care takers need all the thanks they can get.
Whimsy Stamps has 3 adorable penguin images for free download. I think they're under the "Promotions" tab.

You could do a "Thanks a latte" for your hard work.
The digis are great as well.

I was just rereading this thread and this comment made my day. Comrade Bunny was my college nickname. I was the female lead in the play version of the book 1984 by George Orwell. We were practicing in the green room because the other two stages had productions going on. There was not much space. There was a scene where I through a book at the telescreen and then ran away. I would run and then quickly slow down due to the lack of space. A cast member said it looked like I was hopping. Every character in the play was called Comrade, so he dubbed me Comrade Bunny. I loved it. I'm so happy it makes you happy as well.
I found the image while doing a google search for free bunny clip art. It took a while to sift through the pages of results, but when I saw this image, I knew it was perfect. What is the story behind your name?
It’s very nice from your side. If I were you, I would give her a bunch of white roses which are expensive, but incredible beautiful. Besides flowers I would give her a bottle of red wine. However, you should find out if she drinks wine. Most of the doctors are fine with red wine as far as I’m aware. In addition, I would buy for her smelly candles. I see how she comes home after a tough working day, light the candles in the bathroom and get into the hot tube. By the way, I’m on my way to become a nurse. When I popped up on this forum, I was looking for nursing essay writing help sources. I’ve read the topic and imagined myself after 10 year of working and what I would like my co-workers to give me. I believe you will count my advice as important ones.
