MMTPT606 - March 3, 2020 - A Little Bird Told Me...
Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT606
A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME...
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a "TEApotter" the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100%voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: casep/Pat
CHALLENGE: I love to watch the birds in my backyard and in the winter I have 9 feeders out to accommodate all the winter visitors. In the morning, the birdsong is delightful. Our recipient this week also likes birds, so I am asking you to put a bird on your card. But if you don't have a bird, you can use flowers.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Thinking of you, Encouragement
This week's Guest of Honor is Kristine, suggested by SCS jkanack(Jean Bean the Dancing Queen.)
Jean and Kristine met on their first day of college in their freshman music theory class and they've remained friends ever since. Jean told us that Kris has had a lot of challenges in the past year and a half and could use some affirming and loving mail. Kris is a faithful person but Jean thinks it's best to avoid religious/spiritual cards at this time. Jean also suggest avoiding "You Got This" or jolly sentiments too as that is not what Kris needs. Kris likes nature, birds (especially cardinals), flowers, and blue skies. Her favorite colors are blues, purples, pastels, and orange/rust tones.
SEND CARDS TO: Kristine Krier Mich 451 Linden Street

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.

Here's my card Pat...thanks for the challenge...always love using birds. In a few weeks I'm sure I'll be hearing them in the morning..love waking up that sound.
Thanks to everyone who has played or will play. Kris is a very dear person to me, but pretty fragile right now. By the way, she has red hair. Don't know why I needed to tell you that. And she is from a little town near Lake Michigan, just north of me, called Belgium. Yes, she has Belgian heritage.

I got a PM with a correction on Kristine's address. She lives on Linden Street. I added Street to the address in the post. Since it just said Linden before, I think it will still arrive at its destination, but if you haven't sent the card yet, you could add Street.

I reckoned that if the USPS ZIP code checker, which I almost always use to double-check and eliminate the chance of typos on my end, found the correct ZIP code just using Linden (though it did suggest adding Street), that it would surely get there no problems.
There was another time an address was spelled wrong and the ZIP checker couldn't find it at all...but at least I was printing my address label early with a batch of other ones, and we were able to correct it before the challenge was live .

Here is Kris' message to me on Saturday:
OMG, Jean, you are amazing! (took her 50 years to figure that out) My mailbox is being flooded with beautiful cards. I can't tell you how much this helps me, especially when I come home to an empty house. They greet me and perk my spirits. Thanks to you and your wonderful friends.
