Challenge Title: Happy Galentine's Day Hostess: MISTI Monday
Keyword: MSP30
Date: February 3rd, 2020
Hi everyone! I hope you enjoyed last month's challenge! What a prize package! Thank you to Gina K, Brutus Monroe & Therm O Web for sponsoring the January Challenge!
I cannot believe it is February already! I hope yours is off to a great start. I hear the groundhog says we're getting spring weather soon. I sure hope he's correct!
So this month is known for St. Valentine's Day and it's a pretty big card making holiday. I thought I would just put a little twist on it for this challenge, however. Instead of making a mushy card for your significant other, I want you to make a card for your best gal friend! You are so lucky I didn't go with my first thought! I don't have a valentine, so I'd need to send myself one! I was going to make this a send your own valentine to yourself challenge. BUT, nah. Since I don't have a valentine, I thought it would be nice to send a loving thought to my friends.
This card was simple to put together and I love how it turned out. Have you ever bought something because you HAD to have it, only to see it sit in your collection never used? (I've got a lot of supplies that match that description). I was browsing through my dies and found this die from Simon Says Stamp that I just HAD to have...and I've never used it! I think it was from their Stamptember release in 2019. My friend was here tonight designing her daughter's wedding invitations and I made this card in between helping her. So I didn't get too difficult.
I cut the die out of white cardstock and adhered it to a square in which I ink blended pink ink in an ombre effect. I popped that die up with some foam tape to give dimension. I cut out the beautiful die, from Alexandra Renki, in white. The You Are sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps and I used my Misti to line it up perfectly between the die cut and the beautiful die cut. I stamped it multiple times to get it dark. I mounted the pink cardstock panel onto a white card base. And that's it! It's a card that I can mass produce very easily.

Your challenge is to create a card to send to your favorite gal/s!

Thanks for a fun challenge and the part of actually giving or mailing it to someone! I make 50-75 cards to donate to our local infusion bay every other month but I don't often make cards to send to friends on a regular basis.
I did pre-address some envelopes for 2020 to mail to friends in hopes that happens!

OK, here's a shocker! I had made an example card for a group I'm going to tonight, and it works just fine for this challenge. It's also unusual for me, in that it's only A2 size (I almost exclusively work in A9- 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"). We're making cards to donate and A2 size was specified. Anyway, I was delighted to see it would serve just fine for Misti Monday's February challenge.

Here are two cards for the challenge. Basically the same card and layout, but different colors. I placed the stamps in my MISTI and stamped several card fronts. I also stamped envelopes, which you can see on one of the photos.

Same thing happens to me. Copy and paste still takes us there, though. If anyone can explain a work-around for this, I'd appreciate it (I'm not technologically savvy).
