TLC779 Alcohol Marker Marbling
Hello dear Technique Lovers I'm so excited to host my first TLC, I was so honored when I was asked to join this team and I hope we'll have fun creating and crafting together trying some new or some, a bit forgotten techniques. You know I love fun folds, but today I've chosen to feature a Technique I really love!! Alcohol Marker Marbling
I've tried several ways to use this technique and I love to use cling wrap, you can try to use other markers, Sabrina told me she tried with Sharpies, you could try with water based markers and spray water instead of alcohol, I'll try that too.
I've followed Audrie's tutorial but wrapped cling wrap around a flat hard plastic plate (you could use your die cut plate too)
I like this technique with the cling wrap because you've got more wrinkles in your print
I've tried this with a simple sheet of acetate and it works great too!!
The picture above is when it's already sprayed with 90% rubbing alcohol This is the final print:
You can use these as backgrounds for your cards or use them with die cuts I hope you'll have fun to try this technique which is really easy I've used glossy photo paper to make mine

Remember to use the keyword TLC779 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread. 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Fun! I tried this a few years ago as part of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges, and had not revisited it. I learned then, that this is definitely not a forgiving as watercolor smooshing, as your print essentially is set the first time you put the paper down. In my example, I have double printed - I did two full passes over fresh ink.
