Happy New Year!! We are so excited and thrilled that you found our Bible Art Journaling Challenge forum for 2020!
If you are new to Bible Art Journaling (BAJ), please remember that there is no right or wrong way to journal in your Bible. Not everyone feels comfortable journaling in their Bible and some prefer to use an art journal, notebook, scrapbook or other book. Also, please remember, BAJ is not about how great your artwork looks but it is a creative worship time between you and the Lord.
So let's grab our art supplies (gelatos, colored pencils, acrylic paints, markers, plain pencils, watercolors, inks, crayons- whatever your heart desires) and worship the Lord with our creativity!!
If you are unable to actually journal at this time, we would love for you to join in and "chat" so we can encourage each other, share ideas as well as see your art in the gallery when you are able to create.
When you upload to the gallery, remember: We have our own gallery to load our journal pages- Once you enter the "Upload A Card" click on the arrows next to the windows under "Select Galleries"- in the first window select "Anything BUT a Card", in the second window choose "Books, Handmade Albums and Journals" , in the third window choose "Art Journal Pages" and then a 4th window should appear and choose "Bible Art Journal Pages" .
Please use these keywords when you post to the gallery- BAJ20, Bible Art Journaling and if you have time, link your gallery upload in this forum so we can be inspired by your work and encourage you with some "love" ...
I am looking forward to spending more time in God's Word studying and adding Bible Art Journaling this year- we hope you can join us!!
Hugs and may the Lord continue to bless you in 2020!
Hello Sweet Sisters (and Brothers) in Christ!! Welcome to the New Year!! This year we are encouraging you to share with us any BAJ projects that you are working on (so anything goes, lol!) and I know that some of us prefer a monthly theme.
For those who enjoy having a monthly theme or prompt for a challenge, for 2020, we are going to have a certain Bible Book as our theme each month along with an optional or additional key word and/or phrase.
For January:
Book Theme- Genesis
Word Theme/Phrase- New, Beginnings or New Beginnings
The book of Genesis is filled with so many individual stories- we could create all year from that book alone! From the Creation of the World, Creation of Man, the Fall of Man, the Tower of Babel, Noah's Ark and the Flood, the Patriarchs and their lives (Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Joseph) along with so many others, the entire book is rich with ideas for journaling!
Have fun creating and studying this month! I am looking forward to seeing what you share with all of us!
I did a Genesis page in my Bible yesterday; but won't show it to you yet. I've designated Sundays on my blog to Bible Journaling and such so it will be on my blog on Sunday. I don't normally add any thing to the gallery until it's on my blog because I like to include a link to my blog in that post.
I enjoyed the theme... and though my page is extremely simple, I love it! (How's that for a teaser?)
And so you don't wonder what's up, I'm leaving early tomorrow morning for an out-of-state meeting. I won't be back until late Monday night. I'll catch up with my Dream Your Heart Out posts next week. See you Tuesday!
We've been gone a few days so I have some catch-up to do. I actually tried posting Day 15 before we left, but SCS was being wonky and wouldn't let me do that. Let me try now and see how it goes.
Nope, still wonky! UGH! I won't post any more of these until SCS is working better. Sorry.
