I ordered mine June 6th and they aren't in picking either. Mine have to come USPS because I am a APO demo and they are shipping them to Germany. If they haven't shipped by now the chances are very slim that I'll have my catties by anytime next week.

I'm so anxious that I called SU! to find out how the orders are being filled. The rep said that the printing company is (suppose to) ship them out according to their pre-ordered date. But she also said that regardless of the date, ALL pre-ordered cattys are to arrive to us during the week of convention (not sure it that includes your cattys Melissa). I'm just whiny because (like all of you I'm sure) I want mine first thing on Tuesday when convention starts.

I thought if you pre ordered the Catties they don't come from SU in Utah so we won't be able to see when they ship. That is what happened last year and with the new Scrapbooking Catty last year as well.

I just read the same thing over on SD today someone spoke with DS. Take heart yours may be on the way to you.

I just checked the SU website and mine are also "shipped"! YEAH!!! Maybe they are printed on the east coast and so the west is being shipped first and it might take longer. Just a thought. I can hardly wait!!!

I too am in Washington and ordered first thing on June 1st and my order still says closed! I want my new catalog so bad!!! But it usually only takes a couple days to get the things I order so hopefully early next week I will have them.

This is what I was just told by SD:

"Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry regarding the shipment of the catalog preorders. Please note that the catalogs are being drop shipped from our mailing house in Portland and not our Distribution Center. The catalogs are being shipped according to location as opposed to the order that they were received. The reason that we are shipping according to location is that we want all of our demonstrators to receive their catalogs on or around the 15th of July. It obviously takes longer for orders to get to New York than orders going to California. Does this make sense? All demonstrators should receive their catalogs around the same time regardless of who�s catalogs were mailed first. Thank you again for your e-mail. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance."

So, obviously we are getting different stories...

I just can't STAND the wait!!!!!

Oh my goodness, how many demos are in the Portland area??? Think we can find the shipping location?? :twisted: I am pretty good at stalking around in the dark and talking up my sleeve FBI style. I say we go for it. We don't need the whole warehouse full, just one or two each?
How wretchedly torturous it is to know that our new catalogs are probably no more than 20 minutes in any direction from where I am sitting right now!! :(

As of just a few seconds ago, this is what the SU! website says:

7/9/2004 - Shipping of Preordered 2004-2005 Idea Book & Catalogs


Many demonstrators have asked about how and when the 2004�2005 Idea Book & Catalogs are shipping. Please note that the catalogs are being shipped to you directly from the printer. Therefore, when you check the order status under Order Entry Express/Check Order Status, catalog orders are listed as �Closed� instead of �Shipped.� Although we don�t have actual shipped dates available, if you preordered catalogs by July 6, they were shipped to arrive approximately July 15.

According to DS there will be several shipment points for the catalogs this year...........mine (maybe?) will be coming out of Portland, OR....but they have also added extra ship points throughout the US.........midwest, east coast, etc...............oh, I can't wait!!

The demo home page says that your order status will continue to say "closed" not "shipped" because they will be shipped directly to you from the printer!!

You mean to tell me the distribution point for my area could be right around the corner. I don't think I could handle that. It's bad enough my UPS station is about a mile from me and I have to wait until almost 7pm when I know it goes on the truck at 6AM! It's better for the UPS man next week if I don't know when he has those boxes on his truck.

I was very relieved to not live in Portland!!! I'm with the Delta Team out there, I would be getting dressed in camo and heading out to find them. :P :oops: :twisted:

We do a lot of work for printing companies. A couple are near NY City.
Think I'll give them a call on Monday and see if any did the printing on the new catalogs!!!

Well, I actually *got* a UPS tracking number from my SAM, so I know mine have left Oregon but not sure if it's coming via the east (Ohio) or up through BC like they used to before they had an eastern route for the Canadian this way....

Have you ever wondered how everyone throughout the country gets their TV Guide roughly the same day? Many printers are employeed and the magazine is electronically sent. Each printer prints the run they do and places them into the mail stream. Now just one printer could do 7 states so they hire freight movers to "drop" the magazines in the mailstream at a certain points where the magazines should reach the customers at the same time. Sounds like the cattys are being similarly done.

I just got this info from another demo. Take your order number from
your cattys from SU! and do a 'track by reference number' on the UPS
site. It worked for me!
My cattys will be here Thursday! Argh that's a long time away, but at least I know.

The new catty's are being shipped direct from the publisher so they will not show when they are shipped on the SU website. If you go to UPS tracking website and type in your order number (S12345678US for ex.) in the reference number space, you can see when they are to be delivered. Mine are to be here in Indiana on Thursday, and I can't wait!!!

yes, go to UPS and track by reference #( your su order number and it should give you the details, mine will be here wed the 14th, can't wait after reading all the updates from convention

Woo Hoo!!! I just checked UPS and mine will be delivered tomorrow! I can not wait!! I am SO excited for Paris in the Spring - that is one of my favorites!!

I don't get it! I'm in Portland, Oregon and my tracking number is there but not linking to UPS! (I've had three emails from DS that catalogs were partially shipped (7/9, 7/12), then fully shipped (7/13)). Last year I received them at home on what was the first day of convention, and it was quite clear then that my box had been sitting in the UPS warehouse waiting to be delivered on a specific day. My friendly (and cute) man in brown walked in my office yesterday with a box (from Office Depot - boo hoo) and I just about tackled him. I even know the familiar squeak of his brakes when he pulls up outside.

What's worse is that I'm expecting an order today so I'll have to actually open the box when it arrives to end this emotional rollercoaster! If brown man walks in with two or more boxes, I'm tempted to plant a big one on him. Did I mention he is cute? Now giggling uncontrollably and developing a slight twitch. When will this madness end?

For those of you who still can't see that your catalogs have been shipped, I was having the same problem. When I pasted my order reference number into the Reference # field, and filled out the city/zip, etc., it came back with a message that the shipment couldn't be located. HOWEVER, there's hope. I tried to track the shipment using JUST the reference number, and left all other fields blank, and it WORKED! I hope this helps to track some of those missing catalogs out there!
