Scrappin' Challenge 2019Can you believe this is our 11th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2018 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2019! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages,goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2019! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!

So we're going to try a new Scrap Inspiration Game this month!
Since December is a month of "lists", we're going to play the December Scrap List Inspiration Game. Here's how to play:
- Each week we'll post 3-5 items on the list - Select 1, 2 or all of the items to use on your page, pages - The goal is to use the items "in some sort of order" ---------- so for instance you could scrap a page using Item 1-3, then another page using item 3-8, then do a page using item 2-4 etc ... ----------- however you want to mix it up for Inspiration, do it!-- - Let's just see how many page combinations we can come up with
1. Ribbon, Thread, Twine, Fiber 2. Star or Stars 3. Use (at least) 3 Photos 4. Gold or Silver Embellishment (s) 5. Photo Corners 6. Use a Sketch 7. Use a Border 8. 5x7 or larger photo 9. 2 or More paper Strips 10. Use a stamp(s) 11. Add Foil, Dry Emboss, Heat Emboss 12. Use a Tag 13. Add Washi Tape 14. Use a square photo 15. (1) One Word Title 16. Something that Flies 17. (3) Three Circles 18. Brads or Eyelets 19. Add Doodling 20. Flowers, flowers, flowers 21. Include a Feather (real, stamped, drawn or other) 22. My YTD is 144. I did finish 5 in November, and most likely will not complete anymore until I return home after Feb 5th. So, I am not setting a goal for Dec or Jan.

I also do digital calendars for each of my parents every year as part of their Christmas gifts. I had never counted those as pages before, but deemed the amount of time it takes me to do them including collecting pictures from my siblings, uploading, planning, and putting it together I think I will count them in my totals this year. Plus, I upped my ante for number of pages that was my goal, so this will help me maybe come close to making that goal. So, though I didn't upload them here to see I completed them... I did...I promise ;)
I do have a few more traditional pages I did for Nov VSBN that I will add to that link tomorrow when the light is better to take pics.

JCI. I'm working on designing cards for a card workshop I'm giving on Saturday, so no scrapping for me today, but I hope to get to it as soon as I'm done designing. Anyone else with divided loyalties this month? LOL!
So nice to get to stay home part of this morning and craft - I needed the stress release!

Stopping by for a quick moment to tell you I have finished my last sewing project that I'm taking to the kids. This afternoon I take down the suitcases and start to pack. i needed to put the sewn gifts down first. Now I can see just what I have to take, what goes with what and if there is anything I really need to get.
I'm taking some little 3 x 3 cards to hand out as I encounter people on our outings. I made them with the new SU New Year Celebrations set.
Although I haven't made any pages lately I did have to stop to make a few cards. I am really having the urge to scrap so when I get the packing started maybe I will allow myself a few minutes to at least start a page.
I'm enjoying your pages you have been posting, keep them up!
Enjoy this time of Advent as we wait for our Christmas celebration.

A) Use ONLY 3 photos
B) Use AT LEAST 3 photos, but could have more
C) Learn to count and don't worry about the details....
D) All of the above (?)
I tend to take these challenges as Inspiration and anything close is fun
But I know some of you are more careful about details so "Thanks" for asking! I'll update it to "at least 3 photos" ....

Ok uploaded a couple more pages for Nov and one for December. This first Dec page I also used as combo with a Nov VSBN challenge.
I ended up finishing 4 of the 5 VSBN challenges. I’ll have to look at my upcoming pics and see if I can find some so g lyrics and combo it with Dec list.
Here's a layout that I technically finished in November but I couldn't post it anywhere until December because it was for a guest design spot on a challenge blog. How do you ladies usually handle that in your monthly page totals? I have been asked to join the Joy of Sets design team, so every month I will complete a layout that I can't post until the following month. It seems easier to count it for the month I can post in it, right? Anyway, here's the layout, and I could have entered it in the 4th November VSBN challenge except I forgot to add embossing - bummer.

Checking in- I ended up with 20 pages done in November and that was really exciting to me. I've gotten four made today for December. That puts me to 51 of 50 pages I wanted to do this year and I am so happy about that! I really want to get a few more traditional pages done sometime this month, but we shall see how life goes!
I only have one page left to design for the calendars but I am waiting on my SIL to send me two more pictures and I forgot to get one of just my parents on Thanksgiving, so I'm waiting on them too!
I just uploaded five calendar pages but I have three more to load in a bit...or tomorrow. I wasn't able to finish uploading my November pages before the month was up, we got too busy. ;) Of course.

2024 Scrapping Goals: March 8/12; Feb: 6/15; 2024: 35/125
aaahhhh.... it's Saturday and I'd like to be scrapping HOWEVER, I HAVE TO finish my Christmas and Hanukkah cards because I need to mail Tuesday. I leave Wednesday for a Work/Family trip for a week. Once I get those done, then need to catch up on my DD ... then scrap? :o:o:o
I would expect that traditional scrapping will be "on hold" until I'm off at Christmas

Quick hello. Still decluttering this end and catching my breath. It seems everyone out in the world...or at least in my part of the world are acting as though the world is about to end and stockpiling. I’m not lol. I am over stuff.
I miss scrapbooking. I miss not having more time to play..to create, but it will come.

I got my calendars done literally in the nick of time- 1140pm Saturday night (second coupon deal ended Saturday night!) and threw together a chatbook for my great-aunt in the nick of time Sunday night, and designed our photo Christmas card and sent it off to print this weekend too. (altho I would have liked to have mailed that off this morning, but hey... LIFE) PHEW. I was SO happy to cross those three items off my list I made in early November, LOL. Clearly that was not early enough... hahaha! But it's done and I can move on to memory making with less stress, HA!

I was going great guns at the beginning of the month....I even thought I would get all 5 of my layouts done early and maybe more!!! Happy thought but not going to happen!

December is starting to heat up with people coming and going.
The house will get messier with packing.
My scrap deck and supplies will soon be packed....I should be doing it now but I have one more double layout I would like to finish...first I have to start!!! I do have it in a kit waiting on me.
Oh, my not one page yet this month! I see more items have been added to post #3 for our December scrap challenge. Maybe I will scrap this week. I have made and sent out almost 60 cards, so I am ready to scrap!
And here's one more for me. I only had one challenge I didn't complete from the November VSBN, so I went back and did it even though the deadline has passed. This is inspired by the Blessed by Music challenge.
