MMTPT596~Dec 24, 2019~ Think Pink and join the Teapotter's Army
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY CHALLENGE MMTPT596 "Think Pink, and join the Teapotter's Army"
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
Challenge: It's Christmas Eve, What are you dreaming about??
It's the last Teaparty of 2019 because the next one will be Tickle Time.
I found this Poem and that made me think about our great group, you are all so kind and we really appreciate your participation and for this challenge I need your help dear TeaPotters!!
If we could be the Teapotter's army and bring Karen comforting and uplifting messages using something pink on our cards and if you want some details about what Karen loves watch here: Introducing Karen Margotta by Art Deco Diva - at Splitcoaststampers Extra cookies if you use a pink ribbon.
Destination: Our last teaparty of the year is honoring one of our own. She is a fellow SCS who is always supportive and quick with a kind word or heartfelt comment. This week’s teaparty is all about Karen Margotta aka Art Deco Diva. We were crushed to learn that Karen is currently battling breast cancer...again. She has beaten it before and is determined to do so again; however, her challenge this time is more involved. Karen remains optimistic and considers herself fortunate for having a wonderful care team. In true Karen fashion, she was more concerned about other people’s feelings and said “I have not shared a lot because the "C" word is so scary and upsetting for people, but I am not adverse to people knowing what is going on. I mostly wanted people to know why I am not commenting on cards or why I am not posting many cards either.” I’m sure we can all agree the most important thing is for Karen to stay focused on her treatment and know that we’re all thinking of and supporting her during this challenging time. Send your cards to: Karen Margotta 1002 Windermere Ct. NW Oronoco, MN 55960-2031 USA
Be sure to use the keyword MMTPT596 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card.
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or just some warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to jacqueline.
I know you've got dinner to prepare and Christmas to celebrate, but don't forget you can play when you've got a moment.
Merry Christmas to all of you
I'm not at home and will try to comment but with my grandchildren this won't be easy.
Sorry to hear of Karen's latest battle with cancer, Anita. I, personally, have missed her work here on SCS. She is always such a positive personality....may that help her win her current battle.
Anita thank you so much for holding this Tea Party for Karen, Jaqueline thank you for setting this up.

What?????? I didn't know anything about this. Again? Meaning this isn't the first time? Oh my oh my...this is the first challenge I've looked at in almost a week, Christmas happened this past weekend at Grandma's house (mine). Karen is such a positive person, I feel like I've met her. I can play today! Especially for someone as special as Karen.

tried to go see more on what Karen loves but was told not allowed to enter so going to make card with what I read---wishing her the best
To see this post, I believe you would need to be a Fan Club Member and signed on. Here's a link to Karen's gallery if that would be helpful. I'm sure she would enjoy any card you would send her.
As Jan said...thank you Anita for hosting this tea party for Karen and thanks to Jacqueline for setting it up. There have been such heartfelt and beautiful cards posted already this morning in the gallery for her. I am sure she will be deeply touched.
Thank you Anita for this extra special challenge. I just got home from my daughter's, but will definitely be making a special card full of good vibes and wishes for our very special lady, Karen! I'm sure she'll appreciate all the paper HUGS and LOVE sent to her.

I have one ready to go already! Its already in my gallery, so I'm not linking it up. I had alreadynplanned to send it, but was waiting until after Christmas since I had already sent a Christmas card.
Due to the incredible weather conditions here at the moment - I am finding it just too unpleasant to create. I have tried - but just sit there looking at things - lacking all enthusiasm and mojo to create.
We are in the middle of an incredible heat wave with very hot temperatures. To make it worse there are massive bush fires just to the east of Canberra - between us and the coast. The usually lovely cool easterly sea breezes we get during the summer are now bringing us very smokey conditions which ease a little during the day but come back in again in the afternoon. Lots of warnings out to stay indoors away from the nasty conditions and to take it very easy so I am finding myself house bound. The weekend is looking even worse with very hot conditions again. These terrible times are expected to last until we get some decent rain to put the fires out - unfortunately none on the horizon at all.
I will send Karen one of the cards I have made previously. It’s one of my favourites and one which I was going to keep for myself - but I know it will be going to someone who will receive much more enjoyment in finding it in the mail - than me keeping it. I have attached a link to it.
It is a beautiful card. I just commented again on it. I am sorry about the conditions you are all enduring there. We have been watching it on our news here in Canada. Canada has just sent 15 firefighters there to help.
Oh, I just found this news about Karen. I so hate to hear it. Karen is such a precious person on SCS and always positive. When she visits your gallery it just gives you a smile and a good feeling.. Wishing the best for her and she'll be in my prayers.
I am still celebrating Christmas. Cooked most of yesterday, one son and family came today and more family coming in Friday. So, it is pretty hectic here but I will definitely be getting a card to Karen.

Thank you all for the lovely comments and for your participation Helen of course we understand you cannot create and the card you'll send is so beautiful I'm going to the gallery right now
Thank you Anita for this challenge. It is so sad that Karen has to battle breast cancer again. She is such a sweetheart. Many prayers, lots of love and hugs are being sent her way. Here's my card:
I’ve only just learnt of this challenge today but am so happy to read that a Teapot challenge is out for our dear friend Karen who is fighting battles again. It warms my heart to know that lots and lots of hugs and love are being sent her way. Like so many friends I’ve made through this site, she is one of the dearest and sweetest people I’ve come across.
Although I can hardly open the door to my craft room at present I will be finding a way to join in on this party. I will be late but definitely joining in. Thank you Anita.

My card will go out Monday. It's inspired by this card from her gallery. The song, I Hope You Dance brought her strength in her previous bout with cancer. MMTPT596 I Hope You Dance
Oh my gosh! I am completely gobsmacked! I am overwhelmed, and oh-so grateful, to see so many of you ladies making gorgeous cards for me on Christmas week no less! I am at a loss for words, and most you know that is rare for me! I have been very sick with influenza for the past 2 weeks so seeing this warmed my heart up several degrees and put a big ole smile on my face too. Thank you so very much! This has done more for me than words can ever say! Big hugs to each and every one of you! Love, Karen.
Karen, so good to hear from you. So sorry to hear you had the influenza on top of everything else! Not fair, especially at Christmas time! Sending you lots of hugs and healing thoughts!

Here’s a large tag I made for Karen. It is pink IRL...for some reason my camera has turned it into a purple tag. This will wing its way to Karen this week. Happy day everyone and Karen can do this.
